Mattrom, in case imagcq doesn't see your question, perry is an alcoholic drink made from pear juice- my gt gt gt grandfather used to sell it in Jesmond, then in the countryside outside Newcastle (!!). Apart from the fact it's difficult to get any juice out of a quince (I make membrillo from them), I bet imagcq's perry is fabulous.
