Is it steve's first entry? Quite a coup if he turns out to be the winner!

steve took part in ixion's clueless this week, easily overlooked in a bumper crop of entries maybe !

Calm manner of French speed (4) for moderate.

Perfectly good clue not quite as sparkling as his PR entry maybe.

Thanks for that, BBM - I had missed it (I confess that I don't read the Clueless entries quite as carefully, as usually it isn't up to me to decide!). First Peer Review entry, then?

My longest shorter shortlist for quite some time with 8 extremely high quality efforts. Apologies for not mentioning them all but liked fiery's "leftover", ixion's post orchidectomy führer and syzygy's wrinkly trickster but

Congratulations to the eventual winner (I am sure it will be well deserved) I need to get back to the charcoal burner as I am at a critical stage of the process

I am going to extend the deadline in case stevea6000 is having problems posting.

It seems that steve has missed the chance to force a draw and make me choose.
