Does anyone know how to change ones "user name " . I am unable to re-register because the site recognizes my email address and I cannot proceed further.

I think you just go to Edit - to the right of your user name - and follow the steps indicated - update, change password etc...

correction:

edit button does not permit you to change your username.

Get a new email address and reregister?

Or email Norah at the site and perhaps she can do it for you.

I'm not sure is the simple answer, I'll ask Ash and reply ASAP

At least I know I'm not alone in thinking this is easy. You may wonder why I wish to do this ! Look at my name....its boring ... and than look at some of the amazing monikers Pigale . Jazzgirl etc Yes i know i@m a bit sad .

It was possible to "edit your username" some years ago, but due to abuse of the system by a minority of members, the facility was withdrawn.

I confirm what Jazzgirl has just said and about which she kindly reminded me. We had a lot of trouble on the site at that time with some users impersonating other users etc and Ash withdrew the facility to change user names.

I have emailed 111geo separately about his user name.

Why anyone would want to impersonate another beats me ! Norah hopefully will sort it for me. Email received. Thanks Norah.
