When accessing Crossword Solver a pop-up suggests that I scan to sort errors in Windows. It looks dicey. Is this genuine or an enticement with evil intent ? Does anyone know ? Thanks in advance for eny ensuing assistance/advice.

Ignore it. There are many of these "windows errors" sites which are basically after your money.

Ash has told me NEVER to click on anything that offers updates, scans, make your computer run quicker etc.

You do not know who is behind these offers and you could be giving access to your computer to a fraudster.

If you want anything doing to your computer, then go and look for it yourself.

DO NOT RISK IT, you probably haven't got errors in Windows but you could well have by the time they have finished with it!
