Wow. After my first trip through the list I have twenty-six answers (and the only letter common to all of them, for the center circle), but I still don't know how to begin entering them.

Site problems are even worse now. I've entered my user name and password many times and nothing has happened when I've clicked login. When I finally was successful I tried many times to post a message and when I've clicked add post nothing has happened.

Thanks syzygy...hoping to get round to this one sometime...

I think the Koreans launched another sortie aristo....although the site problems you're having sound excessive...hope it can get sorted.

It's been a long time since I looked at a Harpers, and found this intriguing, tricky and fun. Thanks, syz, for making it available.

Can some kind person please help by telling me whether or not the words entered into the wheel are real words. Thanks

All of the answers are real words but the letters of each one are entered out of order and do not become new real words. You just have to find out what letter each of the three groups of sixteen share, then the groups of eight, four, two... It should be easy to figure out which letter goes at the center. There's a mad genius in New York with a lot of time on his hands.

Regretfully I've decided life is too short. I need some crossers to help with Harpers and this one seems to have negative crossers....... sorry Syzzie, I do like the puzzles but this is beyond me.
