I am stuck on 1D Cosy place love permissible below popular valley (9), Stacks fruit for carriage (8) I have a possible answer . I have R???S ???. And then 20A Tramp retains answer for priest (8)

1d defn is cosy place - cant think of a hint -- last 4 letters are nook
Tramp - think name of a comic actor who specialised in the role of a tramp
stacks fruit etc - think of an eastern mode of transport
