29. Yes, Meat, food. Mat = dull and you put in the 'e'/E for energy.

47. Yes, Reversal. Reverie would have been the vision, dream, etc. Take off the 'ie', (that is,disappearing) and add Sal, shortened version of Sarah.

E(nergy) inside MAT (dull)

REVER(ie) and SAL (sarah) gives REVERSAL = change of heart

Just to check is 49a carry the world before one? I'm not sure about the "carry".
