So the clue is "Say this to each one of the eight!"
There are four letters, and I am told that the answer is something to do with money. I don't have any letters in it! Any help much appreciated- I've thought 'OCHO' or 'REAL' but unsure. Don't let my stabs in the dark affect your quality decision making!

"The eight" would normally apply to a rowing crew. The cox of a rowing crew normally shouts "PULL" to the oarsmen.

Nothing to do with money!

That sounds great, but I don't think I articulated myself very well- the answer is definitely about money because that is the theme of the puzzle! Thanks, though!

"Pieces of eight" (Treasure Island and all that) are reals - an old Spanish currency. The answer must be REAL

Thanks! One question, where does the 'say this to each one' come from? I understand the 'the eight' bit!

Could it be a soundalike?

brackendale was on the right lines - you (or the cox) would say 'You! Row!' to each of the rowers in an eight. And it sounds like 'euro'...

...or in a less aggressive mood you might just say 'you row' to each of them, in the sense of 'you are a rower'
