Are you sure of the M? It could be Foxtrot, a dance - Fox, broadcaster+Trot, left-winger.

Thanks malone...as soon as I looked back at the paper I realised I had the first letter in wrong and I saw FOXTROT straight away !! Think it was a case of my looking at the clue too long..thanks for your help though !
