such a shame Jolan, although like Rosalind i sensed that you were occasionally finding it a bit of a chore which i'm sure none of us would want.
why not just post the odd clue or clues whenever you feel like it and put any time limit on it that you care to. i honestly find your clues are more entertaining than most.

one suggestion for the moment - have you tried pasting into a 'plain text editor' ('Notepad' if you are on Windows), saving that and then copy/paste onto the forum?

Although I am often unavailable on a Tuesday afternoon Jolan, I always study your clues later on and would really miss your contributions.
However, I too would not like to think you were finding it a chore to produce 5 brilliant clues every week. T(r)evor's idea is a good one.

How very astute Ros and Tevor. I am becoming a wee bit tired and, if ever I can copy/paste from Word to the site again, I'll just put in the occasional "5".

Earlier this week I sent an email to Ash containing a pasted copy of, what would have been, last Tuesday's clues. He asked me how I was posting them. I replied by explaining that I worked on the clues in MS Word and then copied and pasted here, as I've done since the outset. I've heard nowt since.

I'm off out now for a couple of days and will peek in when I return. I'll have another attempt at copying and pasting last Tuesday's puzzle, next Tuesday. If I still cannot do it I'll consider it to be Karma.

For quite a few years I have followed your thread Jolan.
I haven't posted any answers as the time zone difference puts me behind the others .
I've been able to solve some of your clues but never all of them!
(Took me a while to solve the few that I did).

I've had many enjoyable "penny drop" moments when others have answered or the answer/parsing has been supplied.
Thanks for your efforts.

PS: Sometimes I wished that a few "crossing" letters had been supplied ;-)

It would be such a shame if this paragon of the forum was to finish because of a technicality, ostensibly. It must take a great effort to assemble and devise such great clues so I can understand that it must be a strain to do it week in week out. I would miss it greatly should it go, but if it does a great big thank you from me Jolan.
