15A looks a bit like scheme(but the "t" would have to be wrong)

The t is from entia. I was thinking stayne, Spencerian for stain, mar, but don't see the intricate design part.
Why scheme?

Hi, Ixion. I dn't think there's much doubt about the "entia" (anagram, and it fits) I've been trying to fit STROUP for 15 ac It's a waord for water tap, (tap - map) but I can't fit it.

To help with 15A (you didn't like stayne?), try 4D Without question, Scots savour English fogs (6) s?????. The third letter is the fifth letter of 15A.
