15A looks a bit like scheme(but the "t" would have to be wrong)

The t is from entia. I was thinking stayne, Spencerian for stain, mar, but don't see the intricate design part.

15A - trying to make "statue" fit - in sense of portrait - old representation of ma(n) - tat could be intricate design - unfortunately sue dosn't mean "it" as far as i can see

Further, 5D - Sunless spell - one that's cloudy and dark (6) p?????, 3rd letter is last letter of 15A.
