Hi Busby,
Although, strangely, I did not win, you might be interested in the background to my clue.

This story, by the way, is true! When I was a new curate, many years ago, I knew an old lady who seemed to be totally innocent of all criminal endeavour. However, when she was a child the family lived just over the Canadian Border, her father had a horse and cart with a seat up front and she travelled with him across the border with the liquor well hidden in her underwear! She was never caught. Her son confirmed the story.

Hope you have had a good day and are looking forward to spring. All the best, Thea

Well done GK and thanks for the word, mattrom.

How can anyone successfully hide a worthwhile amount of booze in their underwear? When one could only take £25 out of the country on holiday, my mother put some notes in her bra (and did not tell my father, who would not have sanctioned it) but, booze?
I've drunk poteen , put me off spirits for life.
