Congrats Aristo, a great clue.
Thanks Rosalind for hosting. It was a good word choice. I don't think I would have attempted the other one!
My thanks also to Chrise for mentioning both my clues.

Congratulations, Aristo! More votes than an Aussie cricketer's score - (not that I'm sporty)
Thanks to Rosalind for hosting, to Chris and Rossim for the mention and to GK for the vote - all much appreciated.

Thank you, all you charming people. I'm quite humbled. Special thanks to ginge, mattrom, paul, BigBad, seamus, chiaroscuro, heathcliff, and Les for the votes, to chrise for the mention, and of course to the lovely rosalind for so graciously hosting. I loved the clips. I apologize for posting so late; I just rolled in after an exhausting day. All the kind comments are truly uplifting, however. Our rosalind is a tough act to follow, but I'll do my best next week.

Rosalind: loved your clips and the clues on here.
Just to say that my unidentified creature seems to be a female Common Darter (according to two replies so far) so a dragonfly not damselfly. I am surprised as it was small.

Thank you for all your nice comments, folks.

Jazzgirl, I did think about Sympetrum but it's not a damselfly. Anyway, I'm sure that's right. They are smaller than you expect a dragonfly to be.
