14 of 15 people have now voted (not 16 as I said before). Having 8 votes Aristophanes is the runaway winner with his superb

Bacon enabled Shakespeare's work(6)

"A hit, a very palpable hit" (Act 5 sc 2)

I hope it is OK not to have waited until 10 pm.

Is 8 votes a record? Many congratulations Mr A.

Thea was second with 2 votes and several people had one. BBM2's clues made me smile and I admired many others. Thank you all for posting such a lovely collection.
The prize is

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DKXQbIBt9C8

which is a little slow at the start but worth the wait.
I will post another, shorter clip when I can return to where the URL is saved.
The other word I was thinking of posting was SOLILOQUY.
I apologise for making such a mess of the preamble.

Congrats, aristo, and thanks rosalind - good call in the end, to go with "Hamlet", I think. Thanks for the clips too (I once read a book called "What happens in Hamlet" that almost made me want to study English Literature. Fortunately - for everyone - I overcame this impulse).

A wonderful selection of clues, from which aristo's was one of the worthy winners.

Thanks for the vote thea, and the mention, rossim.

You have all probably heard the story of the two men lots in the desert, lacking food and water.

One says "Look - over there a bacon tree!"

The other says "There's no such thing as a bacon tree".

The first says "Yes there is! I'll go and get some." Off he goes.......................

Some time later he comes back, rather the worse for wear and says;

"You were right; it wasn't a bacon tree, it was a hambush."

(I'll get me coat!)

Yes, as les40 said "Wish I'd thought of that"
Very well done aristophanes.

Many thanks to Rosalind for a great job this week (and a kind mention) - you'll have to win more often!

Cheers to rossim for the vote. much appreciated.
