Think it is gross up, otherwise the clue would have been shilling singular, but I can also see where Mamrya is coming from. Could this be a rare occasion when 2 answers are right!?

'W' is an often used crossword abbreviation for'With'.

I am sure children may 'Gross up' but I think 'Grows up' fits the definition far netter.
