Escuan, you have to apply the highlighted words to the "other" clues to find the letters of the wanted title in a similar way to how you found the instruction.

Barretter I know I'm being stupid; but the only word highlighted is 43, the other highlights only being on cells. I have tried to use the method I used to get the message about other words, but all I got was gibberish. I must be doing something wrong somewhere.

Hi Escuan

10th character of first clue not used in original message (ones with a vowel in title)

9th character of 2nd clue

Etc. etc.

On the "fair/unfair" continuum I also lean towards "unfair." (Perhaps 52% unfair. Maybe 53%.) All the preamble had to do was read "39 non-contiguous cells" and I would be at 100% fair. More importantly (for me, anyway) on the "fun/aggravating" scale I was 96% of the way to "aggravating."

Finished - with a little help from my friends. The post grid filling exercises were both tedious and frustrating and the "illustration" was more like r***** (Chambers definition 2). I don't get no satisfaction.

Escuan, the highlighted cells make up words which are numbers. Sorry if my hint wasn't clear but I don't like to be too overt.

I did write "words" rather than "cells".

Hi all.

I'm glad I found this site.

I've managed the puzzle without much hassle with just the Chambers dictionary and a
quick look at Bradford's.
The endgame is holding me up a bit though I must say the grid entries were fairly easy
for an Elfman puzzle. His Vera puzzle I found much tougher.

Anyway, thanks to all on here who have asked for the help as I can now - hopefully - finish up quite quickly.

Jake.
