Understated design is the hallmark of an AB kitchen. Elegance and a bit of whimsy at a reasonable price.

Congratulations, Mr. Kite! Lovely clue. Thanks to Les, and to THE WINNER for the vote. I think the prize should be a stainless steel sink with granite surround.

Good day to everyone, sorry for being a tad late.

However, Congratulations to Greedy Kite with 6 votes for a worthy win with his clue:

My French qualification new? That's a complete misunderstanding! (10)

Commiserations to ixion with 4 votes who's clue was a very worthy contender.

Here is your prize GK, well done.

Hi, folks! Sorry it's taken some time to reply --- we had a long power cut here following lightning, hail & so much rain our road into the village is now a river. I think I only got 5 votes actually, so special commiserations to ixion: I eventually got your "Olive" when I went to bed! As often, personally I favoured my other clue, but maybe the "bow & Arrow" bit foxed some. Thanx 2 les 4 teaching me a new word, also for the clip with (for me) new examples. Special thanx of course to those who voted for me. I think I've already found s'thing nice for you for next Thursday, if maybe chris this time, fresh back from his holiday, could once again "do the honours" first for me. The tension till well past midnite (French time) I thought was a good excuse for another few sips of our (almost)home-made "eau de vie"(no, I even paid the tax, and it was still ultra cheap except in quality: has anyone out there ever sampled the delicious smell when the remains from the (mobile) distillery run down the hill? Incredible experience on an icy February morning). So thanx again, & please excuse the delay!!! See you all next week. gk.

Well done, GK. Now you can use that word you've had up your sleeve.
It sounds like we should order a crate of your wine to complement that ab kitchen. Is it red or white?

Is this you, ab?

Thanks to Ixion for the vote and to Les for hosting - a new word for me as well.

............or, as McDo would have it, "I'm lovin' it"!
Mine's a Cotes du Rhone called Cornas, actually, but it's very difficult to find (& expensive). Something more reasonable like Crozes-Hermitage will do fine (for the inspiration --- I have to find a prize again, AND make sure I copy the link correctly this time)!

Congratulations GK
Cheers Les I had to goggle the word

Thanks chrise for the vote as soon as I discovered it's meaning "so lonely" started playing in my head. Maybe not as well known as I thought.

Hi Susan I don't normally give mentions but I will try to add them in the future. Thanks for the kind words and if you think it's beneficial I will certainly continue.

Hiya Fieryjack, you're welcome! As a matter of fact, Sue Lawley was on my short list, as was olive the other reindeer and lead a snot into temptation. I had to look up what on earth a mondegreen was. The possibilities are endless. I was grateful to you for the mention, are you a fellow Sgt Peppers fan? It was a relief to find that someone knew what I was on about! I'll try again next week, bye for now.

Oh Susan, that song will never be the same again!
I have one of the early pressings of the LP, complete with pristine cover and insert.

In case you didn't find it, mine @13 referred to the original example

"They have slain the Earl o'Moray,
and Lady Mondegreen"

(laid him on the green!)
