There's no end to them.

How do you like the standard ads here?
One third of the page is already taken up on the right side; now a good chunk at the bottom by the new "kiosked" ads.
Be careful where you hover your mouse.

When you refresh, or click on another thread, the party starts again.
No wonder it takes so long to reload the page.

Soon there won't be much space for why we're here.
Time to move.

When they get too intrusive, use an "ad block"

I've held off because someone has to "pay the piper" but now it's OTT.
So, they've shot themselves in the foot, & I will join the ranks of those who have said, "Enough is enough."

I bought a Tesco Hudl tablet a while ago.
I really like it!
After a while I started getting intrusive ads.
I installed Adblock Plus and the ads stopped.
About two weeks ago I noticed the little Adblock logo was no longer showing.
I went into App settings and discovered it had disconfigured itself and was no longer blocking ads.
But, I did not reconfigure it, as the ads had stopped.
Still not getting ads without Adblock.
Another of life's mysteries!

Syzygy, Jazzgirl and Rusty, Thank You!

Was having same problem, ads almost covering all page, and following your advice, I have just installed Adblock Plus and...miracle, no more ads! What a relief and hope it will remain just so.
Enjoy your ~Saturday - here weather half half, no rain but no sun either - not cold though. Good weather due next week - we hope!

I decided enough was enough a while ago!

It does prevent me from watching ITV player and using some other sites. I suppose if I was desperate I could temporarily uninstall it.

Sunny here in Devon at the moment but still windy. Have a good weekend everybody.

I did not know that, Sudokulover.
A very good tip!
I get the feeling nowadays that advancing technology is more like witchcraft!

Thanks Sudokulover.
I don't watch it very often but that's very useful to know.
