I get "goodnight, Granddad" texts from all the young ones every night.
A bit like the Waltons, and I appreciate it.
Well, I preferred Chesapeake to Hawaii, but I can barely remember Hawaii, it is many years since I read it.
He wrote Hawaii before Chesapeake, though.
You do as you wish regarding Norah.
She is on holiday, though.
I am sure posts will be far from her mind.
It seems to have got a bit warmer this evening, or am I imagining it?

I'm adding one to the total and may well retire until after The Big Event!

Yesterday a friend gave me some apple juice she had just pressed - the village had an apple day, with a press, games and competition for the best apple cake. No, I didn't, I have also retired from cake making (and largely from social events come to that). The juice is absolutely the best I've ever tasted, completely scrumptious. Bother! Several years ago I threw away a grape press, having dug up the vines, and 3 years ago planted an apple tree. It has 5 Bramleys on at the moment!
