Hi Elle,

It really is great and works as a temporary list where you can put anything you want. You can discard items yourself by clicking on 'suppress', or you can 'move to basket' the item you definetly feel like buying - but if you don't erase it yourself, it WILL be there for future reference whenever you are ready for it; it will be name, eg, Elle's wish list.
I even believe you can have several lists, ie if you wanted to have a Christmas list for presents etc...

By the way, I received Miss Potter DVD yesterday; arrived a week early as you said; So I shall eagerly watch it and report afterwards. It'll be interesting to see if parts have been filmed in Hawkshead - my friends tend to think so, hence I'll look carefully.

I find the wish list very useful books or anything else can be listed until you delete them,means you dont spend ages trying to find an item you saw in passing.I use for my bird food as I can just reorder from it.Very happy we won the cricket

Now, will it surprise you if I say that I understand NOTHING about cricket ? Still enjoy listening to Test Match Special on Radio 4, but that is only because of the commentary - it amuses me to listen to whoever is on talking about little cakes, cups of tea, pigeons or buses !

My husband tried many times to explain it to me but I have come to the conclusion that you must be born with the game in your blood to understand it.

Everything about Amazon seems easy.
Pigale, there are three things in life I have never been able to understand. Cricket, Flamenco dancing, and logarithms.
So, I have scored them off my "must do" list!
Elle, you would have known HeLa in a professional capacity?

I found the Henrietta Lacks books in a cheap book shop. I knew about the HeLa cell culture, so I was looking forward to reading it, but I found the unrelenting journalistic style a bit a of a strain, so I put it down , and haven't picked it up again.

To me . watching cricket is like watching paint dry! Sorry, Doglet - as you obviously enjoy the sport!
What does annoy me is all the cricket clues that are constantly foxing me! it's most unfair! I'm always having to ask for help, as I don't know the terminology!
I see that Andy Murray beat Anderson in the Queens final - although I didn't get to watch the match.

Cricket? - no I can't understand it either - very boring and a constant pain with ref to crossword clues. Logarithms? well, no problem there as I did A level maths......
but Flamenco dancing?????? when and where did you encounter flamenco dancing?????

Snap Elle, as far as cricket terminology goes! I need help even more so than usual with these clues!

I am surprised to have found within a short space of time two British people who do not like cricket though, I thought it was like a religion to most - something that I certainly associate with the UK - the same as the Christmas Panto - the purpose of which I also fail to understand !

Different countries, different traditions, that what's makes it all interesting.

Was the book about the scientific aspect of HeLa or a more personal view of Henrietta Lacks?
