The two Brits were just in the top thirty....Aly Dixon came in 28th and Sonia Samuels was 30th.
They did well.
Brendan was stressed out by what he called the bad organisation of the drinks stands etc., and the lack of shade.
He said it was "letting the runners down"!

I might like him a little more if he beats Del Potro this evening!

I don't think it is scheduled for today......I couldn't find it when I just looked for you.
Martina was born in Czechoslovakia ( now Slovakia) but is now of Swiss nationality and plays for Switzerland.
I hope they beat the Russians! but so far, the Russians have taken the first set.
I have the match on here on the computer - I only get an occasional glimpse of the stands...but yes, from what I can see, they do look almost empty.
Fingers crossed for Justin Rose in the medal stakes!
I shall take a break from watching anything more until Andy comes on!

P.S. Rusty, I've just checked,... the Russians have won Gold, so Martina and partner have had to settle for Silver.

Martina got beaten, unfortunately, but the Russians played well.
So, cycling for me now.
Shall cheer on Becky James, and I like both Jason Kenny and young Callum Skinner but I have no favourite there.
Gold and silver for them, anyway!

So far , each has had a break of serve and they are now back on track, and it going with serve again.
3 games have taken 27 minutes!
The match will probably go on for quite a while, as I think the Final consists of five sets, rather than the three that they have all been playing so far.

Becky won silver last night in the keirin.
The sprint is a separate event.
Jason is Laura's squeeze, yes.
That is five gold medals he has won now, and still has the keirin to come.
Laura said (jokingly) Jason should be knighted after winning all these golds, and so when they get married, she would become Lady Laura!
Mind you, she has won a bunch of golds too, so maybe time she had parity with Dame Sarah?
