Hello, Elle!
Yes, another world record for the girls. (two in one day!)
Becky James has just won silver in the keirin.
Very pleased for her. She has had health problems in the past.
Her boyfriend is George North, the rugby player.
Dong Dong was the nicest friendliest man I have seen at these games, and a real sportsman. And he has a wonderful smile!

Update, Elle!
The final of the cycling men's sprint competition will be between Jason Kenny and Callum Skinner.
So, gold and silver for GB.
Think that is tomorrow.

Hello, Elle!
I meant to say.
I watched the trampoline bouncing medal ceremony.
The winner was from Belarus.
I have never seen their flag before.
It has a very unusual geometric design down the left hand side.
Wonder why that is?

Hi, Rusty!
Now, what is the ''keirin", please?
And I'm assuming that the "omnium" is something like the heptathlon - a bit of everything?
That is good about the two cycling sprinters...another Gold and Silver medal will be grand!
We are doing really well in these Olympics!
I've had to look up the Belarus flag, as I had no idea what it looked like!
There is an explanation of its design ( albeit a rather woolly and long-winded one!)
Have a look in Wikipedia, as there is far too much blurb for me to write it here.
I am debating whether I should watch the Javelin tonight on the BBC Sports site on the computer...or whether to watch it on BBCi player tomorrow?
Can I bear to wait till tomorrow to find out how Jess does.........?
I think the javelin is her weakest point? and you say that Thiam is good at that?
Jess is a good 800m runner - how does Nafissatou Thiam fare in that?

Good morning, Elle!,
The keirin is a race on the track where the competitors are paced by a "derny" (a moped).
I am not very keen on it, but it is very popular.
I looked up the Belarus flag, still not very clear on it, but the design is on the "hoist" side of the flag.
"Hoist" is a new word/meaning for me.
I won't mention Jess or Mo in case you have not seen the events.

Good morning, Rusty!
So did you stay up viewing?
I stayed up till about 2.15 am watching on the BBC sports site!
I saw Jess take part in the Javelin - she did brilliantly in it, even though it is her weakest event.
Thiam just did better!
I saw the 800m this morning on iplayer!
Again, a brave effort on Jess' part- she could do no more...she won the race; though sadly overall she was beaten.
But she got a Silver medal - Well done , Jess!
I saw Mo win! my heart was in my mouth when he fell!
Mo now has three Olympic medals!!
A pity about Greg Rutherford...and he was leading for quite a while initially.
Did you see Matthew Hudson-Smith run in the 400m?
He now has a place in the Final!
Ah well, onwards and hopefully upwards.......
I am away out with the dog in another half hour.
Then back for more Athletics!!!

Hello, Elle!
No, I retired for the night after the cycling.
Jess has been a great champion, but is it time to go now?
Justin Rose is doing well in the golf.
A possible gold?
I have not seen Jess or Mo yet.
I am sure I shall find them this morning...somewhere!
Wonder what lies ahead today!

Hi, Rusty!
A warm rather muggy day here - we didn't have a lot of energy out on our walk this morning!
I'm sorry if I mentioned too much detail about last night's Athletics?
As you had mentioned Mo and Jess, I assumed you had already seen the early hours session.
If you still haven't caught up with it, try this link

I hope it works!
I am going to make a cup of coffee and have a go at the Everyman crossword - it's time to relax!
I shall watch the Athletics later.........
What is on your agenda?

Hello, Elle!
A quiet day at home for me.
Think I'll watch the golf and the marathon, then a break until the cycling starts.
I find watching television tiring (and I eat too many crisps!).
Twitter keeps me up to date with what is happening at the Olympics.
It is dry and warm here, although quite cloudy.

Hi, Rusty!
A quiet day sounds like an excellent idea!
We have the boys arriving tomorrow for a week - I shall need all my strength to keep up with them!
There doesn' t seem to be much for me to watch today.
The women's marathon shortly, and then nothing else until the tennis.
Did you know that Martina Hengis is playing in the Women's Doubles' Final today?
And of course Andy is playing Juan -Martin Del Potro.
When is the golf on?
I don't think the cycling starts until this evening?
(You don't need Twitter when you have me! I shall no doubt tell you all about the athletics and the tennis, anyway - whether or not you want / need to know! )
Stuck on two clues in the Everyman........and cannot parse another.....
