Hi elle
John Snagge was a news reader, I believe, with a cast-iron correct English pronunciation. He also commented on the Boat Race and is famous for saying once something along the lines that he couldn't see who was winning but it was either Oxford or Cambridge!

Having just had Windows 10 installed, I am not yet used to it. But at least things are their proper size now, not tiny. And I seem to have got some sound back.

What has six legs but cannot walk?

Hello, Elle!
I told you!
There is always drama with Vic!
I only know she managed to fall off between fences.
Does not sound very encouraging!
I shall investigate and and see what the Racing Post makes of it.
Very pleased for Lizzie.
She rides for a Dutch team and has never looked back since she joined them. She is World Champion and favourite for the Olympic Road Race.
John Snagge was a news reader.
He had a perfect voice for radio and read the reports during the last War. He also did the Boat Race.
I have no plans for tomorrow.
I would say my new tablet is a wee bit better than Hudl, but not a lot. Hudl was excellent value.

Hello, Rosalind!
It would not be three drunk men?
I was on the verge of throwing out my laptop and then I downloaded Windows 10.
It made a vast improvement.
The new search thingy, Edge, is better than the previous searcher.
Well done, Microsoft, I think!

Hi rusty

Good idea, but the six legs are attached to the same entity!

Good Morning, Rusty!
And what a beautiful one ii is, too! Bright blue sky with sunshine!
And Mothers' Day!
I had a beautiful bouquet of flowers and a lovely card from my elder daughter - it is a shame that we cannot see them all today, but we are going to have lunch with our younger daughter and family - and will be able to spend time with Big Brother and the new baby!
I am just about to take the dog out now........then a visit to the Crematorium..........

Hello, Rosalind!
A dragonfly, by any chance?

Good evening, Rusty!
I have had a lovely day!
We went dog -walking early this morning, then took flowers to the Crematorium, and then spent the rest of the day with our daughter and family.
I managed to find a card congratulating Big Brother on becoming such - he was thrilled!
The baby is doing well - he actually had his eyes open today! previously he has been asleep!
How has your day been ? did you go to the Cemetery this morning?
I see that the cycling from Lee Valley VeloPark was even being shown on BBC2 today.
Did you have time to watch it?
And what of Victoria? Did you chase up what the Racing Post had to say about her performance yesterday?
Now for a second coffee and the crossword.......

Hello, Elle!
You seem to have had a very good day.
I am pleased to hear the wee one is doing fine, and his big brother!
I saw some of the cycling on Eurosport.
I noticed BBC had cycling nobility co-commentating.
Dame Sarah and Sir Chris! I like those two.
I have not crossed the threshold this day.
Taking it easy.
Now Victoria!
Would you believe she has been getting stick from some in the horsey world for commentating at Lea Valley this week?
Anyway, Vic has had some support and also some criticism.
The plan, I believe, was for Betfair to have a press conference tomorrow regarding Vic, and her possible attempt at the Foxhunters at Cheltenham.
I hope it is on TV.
And I hope she gets the go ahead!
There will be one or two riding who are just as inexperienced as she is. They are not all like Nina!

Hi, Rusty!
Yes, the baby is gorgeous! He looks very like his big brother did at the same age.
They and my daughter all have the same cleft in their chins!
I wonder if he, too, will be tall?
I - and to a lesser extent, our son - are the only ones who are not tall in our immediate family!
I cannot see why Victoria 's commentating on the cycling should be frowned upon? After all, she is an expert in that field?
And what is wrong with having more than one string to one's bow?
I hear that John Francombe is in the camp against her riding at Cheltenham?
I have read several of his (fiction) books - plus a couple written in conjunction with Dick Francis.
I like that genre of the racing world combined with detective work.
Is it tomorrow that your carpets are going to be fitted?
