Our younger daughter (the one who is pregnant ) and her family are away to Hastings tomorrow for the weekend.
Hastings, as of course you will know, is a very historical place, being the scene of the Norman conquest!
It is in East Sussex, on the south coast, so only about 70 (?) miles from here.
It has a pebbly beach though!

Yes, I had Firefox. But experimented with Dolphin and UC.
UC seems the best. It has Adblock built into it and is fast.
Wonder if UC means "you see"? The logo is a squirrel, anyway.
There are dozens of browsers to try.

I had to look up Discovery Cove as I didn't know where it was! (you know me and Geography)
I see it is in Orlando - where Miss Orlando (!) went last year with her young man!
And where your son and partner also went later on, so any especial significance in choosing that venue for the wedding?

The Canute and waves business is said to have happened at Bosham, W. Sussex, but I have no idea if there is any real evidence for this. I read that the tradition wasn't mentioned in the village until about the 18th century. It may be a mix up with Canute's 8 year old daughter being drowned in the mill stream there- but equally, if that is true then Canute himself probably spent some time at Bosham.
The original Latin description of the event does not say.

Goodness, you were up early this morning!
Yet another dreich day here - very miserable. Still, at least no fog!
We've been back to the vets this morning for the dog to have a post-op check. The wound is healing nicely; the stitches are dissolvable so will come out on their own in about ten days.
So no need to return unless the Histology results are bad.... those won't be ready until early next week. The vet will ring me when she gets the results......and, if necessary, action will be taken then to deal with whatever has shown up in the biopsy.
Meanwhile, keep everything crossed for good news.....
Have you already been out with your granddaughter? I hope you had a good time? How far did you venture today?
