I have not seen it, but it looks like the voting audience was conned.
I had a wee bet on Cor Glanaethwy to win so I am slightly miffed.
Ashleigh and Pudsey still rule!

We crossed - I'd put that it was a con, too!
Do you think the judges were in on this, then?

Probably.
They were certainly in on the magician's tricks.

I wonder if there'll be a 'scandal'?!
What about the magician's tricks - are you saying that was a set up , too? I couldn't see how on earth he did that trick with the lemon?

I have not seen it, Elle.
But in his heat he showed Cowell a seven of hearts in a riffled deck that he could not possibly have known unless Cowell was in on it.
It is not magic.
Just superbly presented trickery.
He was good!

Another thing I learned, that in the Hollywood film that was made about Ashley and Pudsey, it was David Walliams voice that was used as Pudsey's.
Just saying!

Sorry, I forgot you hadn't yet watched it - well, at least you can do so eagle-eyed and report back if you see any chicanery!
But he was smart and the lemon trick was cleverly done however it was achieved.
I think that is less of a con than the substitute dog - had the audience/ viewers been aware of more than one dog before they voted, that would have been a different story.
Anyway... time to take out the dog.....enjoy your viewing of BGT ( I expect you to have solved the mystery by the time I get back!)

All "magic" is trickery

The greatest magicians use a new method, so even though you know how a trick was done in the past, you can tell "not this time". That happened once or twice on Paul Daniel's show, and also when I saw Siegfried and Roy.
