Good evening, Rusty!
Is this the Women's football that you have been watching?
It now seems to be a very popular sport?
I watched Jo Konta win her match at Eastbourne.......she did well.
Now, the crossword...I only got around to doing it, when I returned this afternoon, and thought it a good puzzle.
But I couldn't understand the parsing to 21d?
Show moves around, late getting away (6)
I have "circus" = "show" (def)
I know that "circa" is the Latin for "around"........
But how does this become "circUS"?
Whatever am I not grasping here, please?

Hello, Elle!
Lovely evening here!
I watched Italy v China, the women, yes.
I am enjoying the tournament.
Mostly, it has been played in a very good spirit.
I am trying to fill up my YouTube library.
I cleared my Google history and memory and lost all my YouTube library!
Silly Billy!
I did my puzzle before I went out this morning.
I thought it a fine puzzle but a shade on the easy side?
No, the show is a "circus".
"Late" escapes from "circu late s".
A good clue, for me.

Hi, Rusty!
Ah, I see...yes, I get it.....
I was completely thrown by knowing that "circa" means "around".
It was misleading in this context and it sent me off at a tangent!
Thank you for explaining!
Yes, it is a good clue.
I also liked 17a: obsolete; and 22a: preprandial
How do you have a "YouTube Library"?
I do not understand ?
Is this a special folder you have made?

Thank you, Chris!
Yes, I understand now....I was thrown off course by "circa" meaning "around"!

Hello, Elle!
It was a fine clue!
No, the YouTube home page saves videos in "History" until you delete them (on my set-up, anyway).
I often play my favourites.
I have quite a collection of different ones.
Wild Atlantic Way, Cancellara, Tom Hanks, Crosswords, BGT, Chi Chi Rodriguez, Repairing a washing machine, Amira, Riverdance, Mikaela Shiffrin, Katie and Nina, Emmylou, etc, etc.
I can not remember the name of the sand artist on a foreign Got Talent show, though.
From Ukraine, maybe?
She was brilliant, but I'll find her!
And I have one of a poem that intrigued me.
Don't know if it's any good or not (I know almost nothing about poems) but it just appealed to me, and I try to understand it.
Think I have most of them restored now.
Phew!

Good morning, Rusty!
It is a dull but dry day here.......thankfully, a little fresher than yesterday.
I don't understand about the "History"?
The only history of which I am aware is the "browsing history"... such as a list of websites that I have visited.....
Is this what you mean?
My Piriform (free) cleaner deletes all that each week, along with cookies, and other accumulated stuff.
If I want to "save" something, I do so in "Favourites".
Of course, it may be a similar system, but just called by another name, perhaps?
Any plans for today?
I shall hopefully watch some tennis at some point......

Good morning, Elle!
Fine day, so far!
Just home!
Was up at Blairgowrie earlier (just along the road from Lassie & co).
No, I must have misexplained it to you.
In YouTube there is a section called "History".
Every video I have watched is stored there, automatically, until i delete it.
I do not delete my favourite ones.
But I went into Google settings and deleted stuff, which inadvertently cleared my YouTube "History".
I have almost managed to find and restore my favourite ones.
Except for the sand artist, and one of Cancellara descending in the Alps with classical music playing in the background.
I'll hunt for them, later, as my tasks are complete.
No plans, but I wonder is there a football game today?
And I may try to get to grips with this poem!
Finished my puzzle. Was a very good one!

Hi, Rusty!
I can see that we are talking about different "history" setups...but do not really understand about the viewing history in YouTube?
Does this mean that anything I watch on YouTube is also stored?
Or would I need to be signed in to a specific site for this to happen?
If I'm talking poppycock, just say so!
I remember the sand artist....... she was quite remarkable!
I found the crossword relatively easy...but, despite that, I again couldn't quite finish....
I'm stuck on two clues that intersect.......
22a: ??W/?A?
and 22d: ??T?N
And I cannot parse 8d?
keynote = central theme (def)
Help appreciated!

Hello, Elle!
I would think everything you watch on YouTube is stored.
It certainly is on my YouTube site.
Have a look on your YouTube page?
Should be under "Library" or "History".
I thought the puzzle was tougher than yesterday's, but they make the Wednesday puzzle the hardest of the week.
I have "jaw-jaw" for 22.
I don't know who Macmillan is, though.
Someone once said "jaw-jaw is better than war-war"
22, is a new word to me, "jeton", a counter.
"J" for judge and "me" is a musical "note" reversed.
8d, My guess is that the reformist is Maynard "Keyne(s)" with "books/OT" inside.
Hope this helps!

Update, Elle!
I have found her!
Kseniya Simonova.
I think her CV is quite astonishing!
And, she has her own channel on YouTube.
It is volcanic sand she uses.
