Thanks, Rusty. Seeing as we're all discussing tennis just now, I can mention a comment today that amused me. Nishikori said, after his match, ''I couldn't beat anyone with just one leg'. I'm sure he could - a one-legged opponent wouldn't trouble most of us!

Hello, Elle!
I normally use hazelnut, or raspberry, yogurts.
They're fine!
I do not know if it was the injury bothering Nishikori, but he was off the pace with Djokovic.
Novak was a class apart.
Good news about your son-in-law.
Our light covering of snow is still here.
Could have been much worse though.
Serena must get paid a lot of money to wear these outfits.
They are not becoming, at all!

Hello, Malone,
I did not hear Nishikori speaking.
He seemed to be moving OK, I thought, but Djokovic was far too good for him.

Rusty, the Nishikori quote was from his post-match interview. I don't think he had any chance of beating Djoko anyway.
You've disappointed me with your smoothie - when you mentioned hazelnut and kale earlier, I thought that sounded interesting. Now that you've said it contains hazelnut yoghurt, I've gone off the idea a little!

Hello, Malone!
I use the hazelnut yogurt for simplicity.
I am new to the smoothie lark!

Rusty, I think the yoghurt as a base for your smoothie is a good idea - it's just that I like nuts more than I like smoothies! I bought some smoothies ones - 'Innocent' ones, not cheap - and didn't really like the texture. They were a bit thick, claggy - and I discovered that this is because pureed bananas are often used as the thickening agent. Your yoghurt idea might work better for me!

Hello, Malone!
I found chewing kale a bit like hard work and the taste is not great, for me.
It was granddaughters who suggested smoothies with yogurt, or ice cream, or even custard.
I also look in the "reduced" shelf at ASDA for rasps or strawberries etc, and chuck them into the mix, too.
I've never tried the "Innocent" ones.
I like bananas!

You big smoothie, Rusty! I too like bananas - but as a food, not as a liquid/semi-liquid. The custard idea seems the best so far. You're right about kale being hard work to eat - I shove it in soups, which I sometimes liquidise/whizz up a bit.

My favourite smoothie, Malone, is hazelnut yogurt, with kale and a Conference pear.
Very nice, and hopefully healthy!

That must be healthy - semi-healthy - Rusty. (The 'semi' is just in case the yoghurt's got additives or any kind of sugar in it!).
