Well, I have Trotty to cheer on at 11.35 in the elimination race.
I much prefer the old name of "Devil take the hindmost"!
Good luck to her going for gold!
And supporting the Irish women's hockey team in the World Cup final at 4.00.
Great sportsmanship in the hockey, I've noticed.
No backchat to the referees, every decision respected, and no diving or trying to cheat the ref.
A breath of fresh air compared to football!
I hope to see bits of the hurling replay between Clare and Galway.
And will dip in and out of the golf to see how So-Yeon Ryu is getting on.
I need her to be in the top five to win my bet.

Goodness, you are going to be very busy........
As far as I can ascertain from the schedule you sent, the Athletics don't start until tomorrow evening.....
And then are on in the mornings for the rest of the week.
It will be question of dipping into events here and there , I think.
I shall have the builders here...and also the cat's visits to fit in.....
A busy week ahead!
I finished the Everyman...one of its easier weeks..... I prefer a bit of a "struggle!!
I've also done the ST Cryptic...... grid completed but three still to parse.
That will give me something to think about.......

Trotty said Albie did not have a very good night and she was up attending to him.
She says she was not feeling great during the race but she certainly looked the part!
She is a great champion!

If Trotty were not feeling all that great, and yet still won Gold, this augurs very well indeed for her getting up to scratch again after having Albie, doesn't it?
I wonder when she is going to schedule in having "Number two" child?
It is a lot to think about for the female athletes.....
Look at Jess Ennis-Hill and, more recently, Serena Williams......

I think Albie is the main focus for Trotty, not cycling.
Tokyo Olympics is the main aim for Team GB just now, but it's two years away.
Will Trotty still be riding?
Difficult to say.
She would be a great loss to the sport.

I have just had an email from daughter in Holland, sent from her phone.....
I am sure that she told me originally that they would be staying in a caravan, but it now appears that she changed her mind and they are in a bungalow!
She has just sent photos...it looks very nice, both inside and out!
Great weather.....and a swimming pool to hand......
We have been out in the garden, trying to clear the area where the builders will need access tomorrow to mend /replace fence panels.
They are also going to replace part of the decking at the bottom of the garden, so we have had to shift the tubs of plants to another location.
It will all look nice when finished!

Yes, I have just been speaking to my cousin!
We talked for an hour.......
She says it is uncomfortably hot there, although the temp is lower than it is here.
She goes on holiday next weekend to the Lake District for a week.
Yes, plenty of tea and biscuits - or cold drinks if they prefer - for the builders.
They are four brothers and I think all are coming....
We have known the family for years, so it will be good to see everyone.
Their respective sons are following them into the family business!
