Good afternoon, Elle!
I was home for the finish of the men's race.
Kipchoge is a powerful runner!
Yes, my bet was a winner.
Good old Mo!
Well done on completing the Everyman puzzle!

Good afternoon, Rusty!
Ah good, you made it back for the end of the Men's race.
We agreed then on the best performer in BGT!
Father Ray was excellent...and rather endearing, too.
He seemed a nice unassuming man.
Yes, I too had thought of Bing......
That would be when Bing played Father Chuck O'Malley in "Going My Way"?
A lovely film.
Yes, the Everyman was a good one this week...
I had a couple of parses that took me longer than usual to solve.....
I like that!
We have been sitting out in the garden......

Hello, Elle!
Maybe Father Ray will do "Bells of St Mary's" in the semi-final?
That would bring the house down!
It is colder here today, no sitting out in the garden hereabouts!
I have the Jumbo cryptic here.
Normally I give it to my neighbour, but she is off to Salzburg for a few days.
Well done on the Everyman!

Hi, Rusty!
I think "Bells of St. Mary's" was a second film about the same character?
Do I have that right?
It is such a long time ago since I saw either film.
I do love Bing!
I don't tackle the Saturday Jumbo Cryptic...it is way above my head!
I've done the Sunday Times Cryptic ,though, this morning......also whilst watching the Marathon.
I have completed it, after a fashion, but have some unsolved parsings as yet.
I look back at them from time to time........waiting for inspiration to strike!

Hello, Elle!
I can see Bing singing "Bells of St Mary's" but not sure of the film.
I liked Bing a lot too.
The "Bing Crosby" used to be a top golf tournament in America.
He was a very keen golfer.
I don't think I'll attempt the Jumbo.
I used to do it every week before I had a computer.
Took it to the pub and we all had a go at it!

Hi, Rusty!
I'm glad you liked it!
And here is a much younger Bing singing the "Bells of St Mary's"

I'm now on a roll - I have Bing singing away on YouTube!
It's wonderful.......

Hello, Elle!
Bing was the biz!
That was a smashing clip.
YouTube is great, I think.
It is a fine evening now.
Looks great at the loch, too!

Hi, Rusty!
Yes, Bing is great......
I still have a batch of 78s of his, that I inherited from my father!
It is a lovely evening here, too, and the air is so much fresher today.
I didn't get to see Kathrine Switzer in the Marathon.
I didn't start watching till 10 o'clock, just as the Queen started the Elite Men's and the Main Races.
And then I switched off (too much TV) after the interview with Mo.
I had forgotten that I wanted to catch Kathrine.
Right, now is my turn or my cousin's to phone.......?
