Hi, Rusty!
Oh dear, our sky is beginning to cloud over.....
I have just consulted the BBC local forecast and it seems we can now expect thunderstorms at midnight, lasting for around two hours!
( This looks like a night spent with the dog!)
Today now appears to be our last "hot" day......temperatures gradually cooling down over the next few days.
If this actually does happen, it will probably be a better outlook for tomorrow's Marathon should it turn out to be cooler.
Mind you , we are some distance from Greenwich, and ten miles away from Central London.......the temperatures there could be very different .

Still quite warm here.
We have a weather warning in place for rain overnight but hopefully they are wrong!
Cooler weather will benefit the marathon runners.
I do not think I will see the finish of the elite womens race, but should be home before the elite men come in, and hopefully to see Kathrine Switzer come in. No 261!
I will watch BGT before I go out.
I do not go to ASDA on Sundays.

Well, that sounds like a reasonable plan.......
You will enjoy your trip out to the Pine Cone again, with Miss L-B this time...... and she will be excited to show you her new car!
Is Miss O going , too?
Our plan is to go walking early........and be back in time for the Elite Men's - and the Mass - start.
The women will already be en route, but I shall not have missed all that much.
I have set the recorder for BGT - no "Casualty" showing tonight- but will try to watch at least of it this evening, as I cannot see my catching up with it tomorrow.
Goodness...... it is nearly time already!.....

Well, there was some rubbish...... some good acts...and some heart-rending moments!
I shall say no more until after you have watched it yourself.
I didn't enjoy it as much overall, as I did last week, though.
I shall be interested to hear your view point after you have watched it tomorrow.

I watch it at breakfast time tomorrow.
Mind, there were some very good performers last week.
I like a laugh at the awful acts so that is encouraging!

Some of the "bad" acts on BGT are so terrible, or utterly ridiculous, that I wonder whether they are not deliberately so?
Maybe "put-up jobs"?
Set up to give the audience either a "laugh", or a "grimace"; the idea being to give emphasis to the better acts.
Do you think that is a possibility?
Or am I being too suspicious?

No sign of the heavy rain we were promised...so far!
I am sure that bad acts are all part of the format of BGT.
I like seeing them, too.

We had a very heavy downpour last night - but fortunately not the threatened thunderstorm.
It is now lovely out...... blue sky and sunshine.
Much fresher today, and the highest temperature in our area is only going to be 22C, and that later in the day.
This will be much better for the Marathon runners , won't it?

I liked the singing priest.
And the "Lost Voice Guy" was funny and clever. A brave thing to do .
I thought the dance troupe supporting their friend in the wheelchair chair performed well...and such a lovely thing to do for the young girl, who had been injured in the recent Manchester bombing.
That brought a tear to my eye!
Right, I shall now multi-task ........doing the Everyman crossword......and watching the Marathon.....

Bit dull here, but dry so far!
My favourite on BGT was Father Ray.
(One of my best pals is a priest and he is a fine singer, too)
Thought Father Ray was very good!
Kept thinking of Bing!
And I liked "Rise", Holly and friends.
But the other acts were just so-so for me.
Saw Kathrine Switzer being interviewed.
She seems a very nice lady.
I'm glad I came across her!

I know you wanted to be back in time to see the end of the Elite Men's race, so hope you made it!
A good morning's viewing! I enjoyed it!
As expected , Kipchoge won, with Kitata coming a surprising second.
Mo did well to be third....he had hoped to be in the first three, so I think he was well pleased with his performance for only his second London Marathon.
(And you will have done well with your bet!)
It was a pity for Mary Keitany that her plan went awry....but a worthy win for Vivian Cheruiyot.
She ran a grand race.
And I was very pleased to see David Weir take the wheelchair race yet again.
And in between all that, I finished the Everyman!
