Hello, Pigale,
Lassie is there now.
The two other birds have gone.
Been quite hectic the last few days!
Looks like the cobbles will be dry on Sunday!
I've been checking the Roubaix weather forecast the last few days.
No rain forecast for Sunday.
Should be a great race!

Yes Rusty, should be a great race, with a great weather - should it get
cloudy that should happen till evening. Temps should be near 20C
around 2pm - just like today which has been gorgeous here!

Now, Laddie and Lassie were both in the nest for a fair while late
afternon - I looked on and off but had the sound on - and they
mated once that I saw - So surely Laddie is still around?
Obviously Lassie is guarding 'her' nest!

Glad you have you Hudl back Elle - will that help in any way with
your crossword situation? I mean can you access your PDF and
print the same way? (You can see I am a 'pro' with hudl!

Hi, Rusty!
I am still very surprised by Laura's original decision to train with David McHenry.
She must surely have realised what the general reaction would be?
At least she has come to her senses.......
And I see from your article that Mo is back training with the set up again........
Such association doesn't augur well for an athlete's reputation.
Private Godfrey, that's it!
How could I have forgotten?
I do hope Laddie hasn't been driven away?
That would be very like Odin...and hopefully not to be countenanced.
What is happening with EJ, do you know?
Yes, my Hudl has a new lease of life.........

Hello, Chris!
That is interesting that your fellow teacher was Arnold Ridley's brother.
Yes, quite a number of conscientious objectors were ambulance drivers , stretcher bearers and such.
Very brave men, even though they refused to fight.

Yes, Pigale, I have just read both your posts..
I was away from the computer for a time!
Giving my eyes a rest....... I spent a lot of time earlier trying to sort out all the problems.
I still cannot access the Screen prints..... I shall have to buy a paper tomorrow!
Maybe my daughter will be able to fix the problem when she arrives.
I could not decide which osprey it was, as the head remained turned away!

Hello, Pigale!
I am looking forward to the race!
Hope it is not dominated by the QuickStep Floors team.
We shall see!

Sorry, Pigale!
There were three birds on the nest for some time today.
Then I think it was Laddie who flew off!
But I am not certain. Identification is tricky for me.
I think Laddie's wing feathers are longer than his tail feathers but it is not easy to see.
There is certainly Laddie and another male bird there.

Well, I definitely saw Lassie and one bird mating - It looked like
Laddie to me - Lassie certainly seemed quite willing.....!

Hello, Elle!
I was taken aback by Laura's initial decision.
She knew there would be a reaction, or why else would she say "don't worry"?
Yes, I am glad she has backed away.
Yes, Mo's decision does not surprise me.
I can't remember Pte Godfrey's other sister's name.
Dolly and ?
In my book it said that Arnold Ridley suffered pain from his war wounds for the rest of his life.
Him and many, many, thousands of others.
I stopped following EJ.
It is not a great camera set up at Loch Garten, and I find one osprey site enough to keep an eye on.
This evening, I was reading my book, watching the golf, and keeping an eye on the Dow Jones, and the Loch of the Lowes nest.
That's plenty!
Maybe the rangers will update us tomorrow about what's going on at the nest?

According to Loch Garten's blog, EJ has settled back in nicely,
goes fishing for herself etc, but is still looking for Prince Charming
(their words)!

Hi, Rusty!
I think Private Godfrey's other sister was "Cissy"?
I didn't watch the programme regularly, so cannot be sure.
I am old fashionedly (is there such a word?) hoping that Lassie is indeed being faithful to Laddie!
The idea that she might have an amour does not sit well !
I am very tired and my eyes are hurting......
I am going to make a drink and then head for bed.......
Are you meeting the girls tomorrow?

Pigale, I've just seen your other email
I might well be able to print from the Hudl but I don't know how to link the printer......
I got halfway there, following Google instructions, but fell at the last fence!
I am sure my daughter will know.

Hello, Elle!
Cissy?
Maybe? Yes, could be.
It is some time since I watched the show.
Yes, a bit of "intrigue" at the loch!
Will be in the News of the World on Sunday!
Miss O texted me to meet her on Sunday, which is fine.
I need one of the girls to go to town with me one morning next week.
And.... Miss ATW has had all her flights cancelled because she deviated from her itineray in Oz!
But, her wee brother has rebooked flights for her from this end and she flies into Edinburgh on Sunday afternoon.
So, that's a relief.
