Quite - Life would be rather boring were we all alike!

I understand your interest in zoology though - but perhaps just
as well you were not a vet!

Hello, Rosalind!
I am sorry to take so long to reply, Ros.
My post to Rusty and yours to me obviously crossed!
And I have only just spotted your message since coming back to he computer just now.
No, I do understand your position regarding animals
I was certainly not expecting you to agree to walking a dog.
I DO know frightened you are!
I was just remarking that it is usually is a very good way to make contact with people.....and hopefully make some new friends..
I've thought before that you would have made a better researcher than a zoologist!
You are very talented in finding out info and researching family histories.
And this would perhaps have been an interesting and challenging career choice, retrospectively?
I thought your book was brilliant!

Hello, Pigale!
My daughter has a running machine!
But she has decided to sell it......and instead to rejoin a local gym!
She feels there is more motivation in company.

Good evening, Elle!
Mr Rogan said "Jumbos", plural.
Maybe you will get a non-cryptic one?
It is not too bad an evening here.
Dry and the wind has dropped.
Have you "The Voice" and "Casualty" to watch tonight?

I wasn't clever enough to be a vet, pigale, and in any case would have been absolutely terrified! You're right, can't think of a worse career for me. On a walk, if I see a field with horses in, I turn round. Ditto cows with calves or young bullocks!

It's an interesting point, elle. In the end I actually did medical information which involved research. What I'm doing now I like the best, but when I was chosing a career, people got pushed into sciences and I liked zoology anyway. It was only the accident of being left a family portrait and letters and wanting to know about the person in the picture that sent me on that kind of research. Did you really want to do what you did? It feels as if you did from what you've said.

I've twice bought walking machines and twice sold them!

Hi, Rusty!
Well, a non-cryptic Jumbo puzzle on Easter Monday would certainly be nice!
But first...... I have the Everyman tomorrow!
I do like that one!
It is my favourite puzzle.
Yes, Rusty...I have "Casualty" recording ..........
And I am watching "The Voice" right now........
It is the Semi -Final tonight!
Eight contestants - two "belonging" to each judge - need to be reduced to four, in readiness for the Final next week.

Yes, Ros, I wanted to study Biomedical Sciences.
Although I started off being interested in Biochemistry, before switching to Haematology.

Hello, Elle!
I'll tip you off on Monday about what Jumbos they have!
I'll record "The Voice" next week, to see will I like it.
I only know Tom Jones, on it.
I am busy tomorrow.
My second favourite bike race is on Eurosport just after 9.00 tomorrow morning.
The Tour of Flanders!
Really looking forward to it.
It is what is known in the cycling world as a "monument".
One of the legendary races.
Over the cobbled climbs in Flanders.
Great racing!
And I am going to Pine Cone with Misses O and La Bamba.
And I have the golf in the evening.
To see if Lexi takes the plunge!

Hello Elle and Rusty,

Hope all is well? Not bad over here!

I think last time there was 'jumbos' advertised - around Christmas and New Year, there both one jumbo cryptic and one jumbo GK, in
each instances.
Let's hope this is the case for your Jumbo GK Elle!

You have a busy week end - beginning of the week Rusty! hope you
have a great time.

Hello, Pigale!
Nice to hear from you!
It is turned cold here but no snow so far!
I think you are correct regarding the Jumbos.
I think Arnaud Demare should go well tomorrow.
(I am cheering for Sagan!)
Long time since there was a French winner!
Possibly Jacky Durand, the last one?
