Hi, Rusty!
All right, I'll give in and ask .... so why is there a shortage of chickens?
Yes, see what the Asda staff advises?
They must know what is a popular "offering" for a milk substitute.
Although I will repeat my warning that the dried milk (in my opinion) does indeed taste foul!
(Sorry.....just realised......no homophone intended here in connection with chickens!)
You seem to have enjoyed the Cycling!
I hope Elinor Barker was not hurt, despite her carrying on with the ride?
Your Mark Stewart has a good career ahead of him if he likely to emulate Chris Hoy!
More Athletics tomorrow - starting at 9 .45 am!
A great weekend ahead!

Hello, Elle!
I do not know why no chickens!
Maybe the supplier could not deliver them.
Yes, the ASDA folks will help me.
I get on very well with them.
They gave me a Christmas card, you know.
No obvious damage to Elinor though her skinsuit was ripped in several places.
One of the Chinese girls was taken away in a wheelchair though.
Mark is just a young lad making his way, but he is promising!
There is only one Chris Hoy!

Good morning, Elle!
Still snowing here!
I've cleared the snow from my car and surroundings but my wee road is 8 inches deep in the stuff!
So, no driving!
Been to ASDA and got milk etc.
The girls there told me that yesterday they were rationing bread and milk due to no deliveries.
(And they approved of my haircut!)
Now,.....milk!
I got one of the home delivery girls to show me where the condensed etc milks were.
They were in different aisles.
She recommended UHT milk and said condensed is very sweet.
I did not buy any but now I know where to find them!
But I bought maple pancakes and I can highly recommend them!

Pleased to hear you have proper milk, rusty.
Condensed is way too sweet.
UHT or dried powder are both better if making porridge.
I am off to buy the paper. Keep warm

Hello Pigale
We rotate the milk when we shop. We take a frozen carton out of the freezer and replace it with a fresh one. It works for us but "chacun..................".

Good morning, Rusty!
How about this for a prompt reply?
I have just logged onto the computer, and was about to message you when your post came through!
Well done on sorting out the milk issue - at least you know what to choose now, when the need arises!
You have more snow than we do.
I should say we have only about 5 inches....the side roads are still bad, and the pavements very slippery indeed.
I have only been as far as the garden, but my husband took the car to Sainsburys this morning for some "iron rations"!
But more purposefully just to give the car an "outing"!
He saw a traffic accident en route, so the roads are still dangerous.
My mind is on the Athletics ......I think this morning's session will already have started?
I do have a few other things to do , so shall need to multi-task!
What are you up to?

Good morning, Jazzgirl!
The condensed milks are kept beside the custards and sweet rice puddings etc.
A wee hint there!
The UHT products are beside the eggs and breads.
I started up the Jazz and let it warm up for a good ten minutes.
Started at first turn off the key.
No driving though, just clearing the snow from it etc.
Hope you get your paper!

Good morning, Elle!
Yes, I learned quite a bit about milks today.
Kirsty was very helpful!
No driving for me, but gave the car a static "outing", while clearing the snow.
There will have been countless traffic "bumps" in the past few days.
Hopefully nothing serious though.
I am waiting to see the Strade Bianche bike race, if they start!
Terrible road conditions in Tuscany.
The women race earlier.
Lizzie Deignan etc.
Other than that I shall dip in and out of the Athletics until the Worlds at Apeldoorn starts later.
Is Laura running today?

HI, Rusty!
I am trying to dust and hoover, sort out two loads of washing,...and still watch the Athletics!
I think "a lick and a promise" will suffice for the household chores....?
One must prioritise.....
I forgot to mention that it is quite a bit milder today!
3C!
London and the South -east are forecast more heavy snow...but none for our immediate locality.....I am hoping that is right.
Enough is enough........
Instead , it seems we can expect rain this evening.......
We shall see.
Laura is racing today in the second session (so after 5.30) according to my TV guide, but I could not find a specific time?
I hope the cycling goes well.
