I must say that I find it a little difficult to get used to Cardiff being a Test Match venue - and then I realise that it is the closest one to where I live!

So Kenyatta, does that mean you will get there to see it 'for real' as opposed to watching it on TV.

Don't understand the game myself (of course! not many French people do!) but my late husband always told me that watching from the cricket ground with cup of tea/ cakes or a beer made it a very pleasant afternoon.

I agree with your late husband it is a very restful game apart when Australia is playing and I have been known to take a book with me

Unfortunately, cricket is no longer on terrestrial TV in the UK any more - only highlights in the evening. I am fortunate to be able to go Lords once a year. It is a wonderful day - even if the cricket is dull!

You know Kenyatta, I have listened to hundreds of Test Match Special on Radio 4, and I do know the terminology even though I don't know what it stands for .

I mean things like 'the end of the overs' for example; to me, something that is 'over' is something that has ended anyway..... As for leg before wicket, leg over wicket etc............. ! Need I say more?

TMS is a wonderful programme. Some people say it is at its best when 'rain stopped play'.
I have a faded tea towel which has the rules of cricket printed on it. It is mostly concerned with being 'in', 'out', 'not out' and so on. Crazy but wonderful.
What would you expect from a game with fielding positions such as Silly mid-on, Gully and Third man?
