Hello, Pigale,
Is there not a box that you can tick for "France only".
I usually tick "UK only" when I am looking for stuff.
I noticed earlier that some of these tablets were from TESCO and Argos, and classed as "manufacturer refurbished" with a 12 month warranty.
Worth exploring?

Hello Rusty,

Well, I wonder if those that were initially from TESCO might be
ex Hudl? Or can't they change the name? I have not noticed any
Hudl for sale anywhere.
I shall have a look tomorrow for the tick 'France only' . The delivery cost should be much less then.
But a lot of cheap tablets on the market nowadays come from China!
Don't know if they are any good, or if they would last more than
a few months, if that!

Hi elle
Yes, it is important to read those books in sequence. How about reading the odd review of The Judges Story first, as it is definitely not to everyone's taste?
I have read (and own) all the the Master and Commander series, twice. One day I will read them all again.
I've also read the Almonds and Raisins series (3 books) by Maisie Mosco two or three times, about a Russian (I think) Jewish family settling in Manchester in 1905.
My mother used to say she was 5 feet nothing but I don't think she was even 5 feet. And was proud of taking size 2 and a half shoes. She didn't have adequate food as a teenager, which probably explains it.

Hello, Elle!
I think when I first joined eBay I watched the last twenty minutes or so of the auctions.
But now, I say to myself, "I would pay £12 maximum" for that item, and bid that as my "maximum" and let eBay do the bidding.
Often you can have a pleasant surprise and discover that you won the item for £7.50, or whatever!
Other times of course, you will be outbid.
Yes, I have a lot of items in my "watch" list.
It is not a "new" leather jacket!
It is a used one in very good nick.
Only one bid on it for £5.
Years ago I had a great leather jacket that I found at a Scout's jumble sale.
It was made in Oklahoma and I really liked it.
I have several jackets so I probably won't bid.
Just for interest sake.

Snap Rosalind! My mother was 4ft 88 (1m48) and took a small size 3 shoe, depending on the width of the shoe.
Luckily my father worked in the shoe profession and he had asked
a shoe maker to fabricate my mother's own "boss wooden shoe",
from which they could then make women's shoes to fit her feet.

In those days, all the smaller sizes were for children and children
shoes were not as modern etc as they are now!

Hello, Pigale!
No, TESCO stopped selling the Hudl for some reason.
They are not made any more.
Any on eBay will be used ones.
The Hudl was a good cheap tablet and were quite popular.
Type "Hudl" in the eBay search box and you may find them?
A lot of the top tablets are made in China.
I suspect the Apple iPads are.
It's the fake stuff from China that is a problem.
I have a Samsung tablet and I would not have another one!

Oh yes, I know the top brands made in China are OK, but
I came across a lot of very cheap tablets with no name that I
have ever heard of ! (such as Artizlee ?)

Samsung is a big name in the PC/tablet/phones world

Update, Pigale!
I have had a look on eBay UK and there are lots of Hudls there.
Even saw one from the TESCO Outlet place advertising a "manufacturer refurbished" one.
Bidding is around £6 just now for it.

Hello, Pigale!
No, stay away from makes you have not heard of.
Do a bit of research for reviews on TechRadar or similar sites.
That's how I go about it.
Samsung is a huge player in electronics.
My TV is a Samsung and it is just perfect.
But the tablet is not so good.
