A very good morning to you, Rusty!
It is a beautiful day here - bright blue sky, glorious sunshine,...albeit bitterly cold!
Only 1C!
I am just home from a very brisk invigorating walk!
I feel great!
Our (ex) next door neighbour has just given us an elegant light oak rocking chair.
(He is gradually clearing his house ready to sell it, now that he is living with his daughter)
I am delighted with the chair, although I have no idea yet where to put it........
Maybe in one of the guest bedrooms?
No plans as yet for today....although tomorrow will be busy......
How about you?

Good morning, Elle!
Hard frost here, but a fine day.
A bit slippy underfoot but not too bad.
Is this another neighbour selling up?
I had an idea one house had been sold?
The rocker sounds the biz!
There are several pages of book reviews in The Times today, if that would interest you?
I have been out earlier and my grandson is calling later but I have no other plans for today.
I am keeping an eye on the curling final, just now.

Kenyatta.
This is a personal chatty thread (titled as such) that Norah set up for that very purpose.
Anyone is free to post here..... but I wouldn't look on here for help with crossword clues.

Pigale.
Hudi is a female name apparently becoming popular.
It has its origins in the Arabic language. Hudi's meaning is 'one who chooses the right path'.
I don't know why Tesco chose it though!

Is it Pigale or I that should go to specsavers!

L and i look identical when i is capitalised and L isn't, so no need for specsavers, rossim !

Hello Rossim,

Thank you for your explanation of Hudi - vert interesting.

You do not need glasses, I do! I did type Hudi because I was
convinced the Tesco tablet was spelt that way - not looked
properly at the spelling of the name in the various emails.
So, it is entirely my mistake - but thanks anyway.

Hello, Rossim!
You are not on your own in needing Specsavers ....I did not even notice that Pigale had put "Hudi" when she answered me yesterday!
And I had to "peer" at the word just now to see what you were talking about!
"I" and "l" are not very clear, though, are they?

Good morning, Pigale!
And while I'm at it, I've just noticed that I missed the "e" from the end of your name yesterday..... and called you "Pigal"
I'm very sorry!

Hi, Rusty!
We have frost here, too, but only on the roofs and the cars....fortunately the ground is clear, so not slippy.
Yes, you are right in that one house has been sold.
And still no sign of a prospective owner after all this time.
I am sure I will have told you that the house on our other side belongs to a very dear family friend?
Now, it is he who will eventually be selling his property.
He has gone to live with his daughter and her husband (who are about my age) as he is no longer fit enough to live on his own.
The whole family are friends of ours, and have been for many years.
I should indeed be interested by the book reviews...I am often drawn to such.....but I do not have a paper.....
Anything of especial interest?
Time for a coffee.......I could do with one of your jammy doughnuts......
