I understand it must be difficult understanding poetry in another language.
I assure you though, McGonagall wrote drivel, as Queen Victoria well knew!
And the poet Edmund Spenser must be the worst speller I ever came across.

What was the name of this Irish Comedian who often made jokes about the Pope and Religion, who drunk (real stuff) on stage while sitting on a stool? Simply cannot remember !

Yet his diction was so good that he was the first British comic I understood and appreciated - afterwards I got to like the Two Ronnies, Jasper Carrot etc - but NOT Benny Hill ! As for Mr Beans, he is very popular in France - no need to understand the language.

Coming late to this, as I've been busy for most of the day, and have been attempting to catch up with the Athletics this evening....
