Hi, Rusty!
No news as yet......
I phoned as directed at 11am, but the vet was in a Consultation.
The receptionist said that she would ask her to ring me back......
I shall give it till after midday and try again.
My daughter has been ringing me for news......
How do you get to and from the garage, where your car is being serviced?
Is it walkable?
I have finished my crossword!
Yes, I thought it was fairly straightforward today.
I didn't know "aquavit" nor "orison" - new words to me.
Nor did I know that "obi" meant "sorcery"!
To me , it is a Japanese sash!
Still raining!

Update, Rusty!
Nothing abnormal was seen on the Xray, so they will do an Ultrasound Scan this afternoon, and will phone me with the results about 4 o 'clock.
The poor cat has to have his tummy shaved for this, but it is a non-invasive procedure so will not harm him in any way.

Hello, Elle!
So far, so good, with your cat!
Hope it continues.
The sun has gone here!
Miss Sharapova is playing this evening at Flushing Meadow.
Can't wait to see her outfit!

Hi, Rusty!
I am not sure whether no news is good news, in this instance?
I suppose it could be, if nothing bad is discovered.......but what we need is something found that can be dealt with?
And then the cat may get better?
If you can follow that convoluted sort of reasoning?!
I have seen pictures of Maria in her "little black dress"........
She did look rather gorgeous, even if the colour seemed inappropriate for a tennis match!
It is still pouring down...I think the weather is in in sympathy with my spirits!
I thought the Times QC a good puzzle today - some very clever clues!

Hello, Elle!
Yes, I follow your reasoning!
Has your cat improved with the drip?
I think Maria's dress had crystals sewn into it?
Yes, she is a bonnie lassie, but it was not a dress for tennis.
Maybe best kept for a seance, or a wake?
Wonder what she'll wear this evening!
It is dull here but dry.
Collected my car earlier.
All systems go, now!

OK, Elle!
Hope all is well.
Just saw an interview with Marion Bartoli on EuroSport.
She said Sharapova said "hello" to her yesterday.
The first time in ten years she has spoken to her!
I see Laura Robson was beaten in the first round.

Hi, Rusty!
Back home again!
The cat is still on a drip and looking quite lively and alert.
Apparently the Xray showed nothing abnormal organ wise, but did show that he was very constipated, so he has been given an enema to clear his bowels.
The Ultrasound scan has been postponed until tomorrow, as there were several emergencies admitted today, and in the end the vets didn't have the time to do the scan.
It will be done tomorrow.
At least the cat is feeling more comfortable and perky.
That is surely a good sign?
So still a waiting game......
Laura's early "promise" never really came to fruition , did it?
Love her or hate her (like Marmite) Maria really does liven things up, doesn't she?

Good evening, Elle!
There does not seem to be any sense of urgency at the vet clinic, so I would take heart from that, in your position?
Yes, the perkiness is a very positive sign!
No sign of Miss Sharapova yet!
Yes, I had high hopes for Laura Robson, but she is still young enough yet to make good progress.
Why is there a "Louis Armstrong" court at Flushing Meadow?
At least it isn't Lance Armstrong court!

Good evening, Rusty!
No, I think the vet's priority at the moment is to get my cat rehydrated, and then to get him to eat.
Whatever turns out to be the problem with his liver and pancreas may or may not be treatable.
I don't think a day or two here or there will make much difference in the scheme of things.
The waiting to know is hard though.
But he looks much better than when he was admitted.
I no longer fear that he is in immediate danger.
I think there is an Arthur Ashe Stadium at Flushing Meadow, too?
