Hello Elle!
A good night's sleep will help you.
Yes, good news about your neighbour!
Now, Maria has always been into fashion.
But this outfit (by Nike and a top designer) was a black hat, black dress, black socks, and black shoes.
I did not like it. Very Halloweeny.
Or like a penitent?
All the other women I seen, like Heather and Jo, for instance, were colourfully dressed.
Lots of light blue about.
Be interesting to see what she wears in the next round.
i do not know what the commentators were saying about her because I watch with the sound off.
Your EuroSport Player is a dead loss!
The US tennis is on both channels for two weeks.
That's what you are missing!
I am not getting a picture from the loch again.
As far as I know, Laddie and his daughter are both still there, though it was about this time last year that he left for Africa.

Sorry to herar about your cat, elle. We have two siblings; the male loves me, bu the female looks like she thinks I'm going to kicj her every time I see her (I never have!). Unfortunately the dog hates both of them.

Just catching up on the new Montalbano series (recorded). Oh dear, don't they all look old! Mimi is still a chocolate teapot; I don't understand how Salvo tolerates him; he was a pain even in "Young Montalbano".

btw some of the characters speak recognisable Italian; others an incomprehensible dialect. (I think I've said before that watching "Montalbano" to improve our Italian is like an Italian watching "Cracker" to improve her English).

At least this Livia seems to be able to speak Italian!

Hi, Rusty!
I am certainly tired, but whether or not I shall sleep well is another matter.
We are used to the cat sleeping with us.......it will be very strange without him.
And tomorrow is going to be a harrowing day.
I have just checked out the osprey website.
I too have no picture, it says that there is an error loading?
It looks as though I shall miss all the US Open tennis the way Eurosport Player is behaving!
And the suggested "remedy" to right matters hasn't worked!
Did Maria win?

Thanks, Chris!
We are down to only one cat and one dog - and one goldfish - now!
We lost our other cat to renal failure.
Our dog is a bit stressed, going around looking for the cat!
Unlike yours, our cat and dog are good friends!
I don't know the Montalbano series to which you refer?

Hello, Elle!
Well, do your best to rest, anyway!
Tomorrow will take care of itself.
This "error loading" happened a couple of weeks ago, too.
I emailed them and it was quickly fixed.
The other webcams are working, for the squirrells etc.
Probably the pesky crows did something!
Surely EuroSport will have you sorted soon!
Maria beat World number 2, Simona Halep, 6-4, 4-6, 6-3.

Hoping your cat pulls through, elle. I can't imagine sleeping with one, or rather I can! Say no more.

Montalbano is a Sicilian detective, books by Andrea Camilleri. I have read all I can get my hands on. I think the chief reason for watching the episodes on TV is for the ravishing countryside and seascapes- he lives right by the sea. I hold no candle for the Italian police, having been mugged in daylight outside Naples station. Apparently this is rife and no attempt is made to stop it.

Rusty- many years ago my young son and I rescued a fox which had probably been hit by a car, at some risk of being bitten (I went home for gloves and a blanket to throw over it). On the hottest day of the year I drove 20 miles to the nearest animal hospital. The next day I phoned to see how it was, and was told much better as it had been put on a drip. I was very surprised, too.

Hello, Rosalind.
Yes, I have witnessed the effects of drips on folk in hospital.
The improvement within twenty fours hours can be remarkable.
Let us hope so for Elle's cat.

Indeed, rusty.
I sometimes wonder why they didn't put my 5 day old dehydrated grandson on a drip. He was too weak to suck- they put a small container of human milk near his mouth and he lapped like a kitten! Amazing to see.

Good morning, Rusty!
I am just back from the park.....
Dreich here.
We are supposed to hit a high of 13C later in the day, dropping to 11C by teatime!
A big change in our weather!
What is like in your neck of the woods?
I am to ring the vet at 11am to see what the Xray showed.
I think the Ultrasound scan will follow if deemed necessary.
I should have been going out later ........but have decided to stay home close to the phone.
We may be needed at the vets.
I still have no picture at the loch?

Good morning, Elle.
Lovely day here!
Hope you have had some reassuring news from your vet.
I put my car in for a service earlier.
I did not email the loch about the picture.
I have been less than impressed with the Rangers this year.
Ten days between blog updates for the interested public is pretty poor ..in my opinion.
So, they can go and shuffle!
Puzzle is quite good today.
