Good morning, Elle!
Great day here!
Hope you enjoy your outing.
I have watched part of the Fats Domino documentary.
It is very good so far.
Lots about the New Orleans district he was born in.
He is still there!
I am looking forward to the rest of it.
It lasts two hours.

Hi, Rusty!
A good time was had by all on our picnic!
The day brightened to give blue sky and sunshine!
The cousins were delighted to see each other and all played well together, despite the disparity in ages... 9, 7, 5 and 17 months!
The little one tried hard to do all that the others did!
We took racquets and tennis balls, and a football.
A successful day!
What have you been up to?

Good evening, Elle!I
Is you playing football with your wonky toe a good idea?
Tut, tut!
Glad you had a good day!
I watched the Fats Domino documentary.
It was excellent.
Even Elvis said Fats was the King!
Fats is a humble, shy, man.
And he'll be 90 in February.
And I got got good news from the bowel screening folk.
All clear.
And, I am going to have a look at a car tomorrow.
And the puzzle was a toughie, I thought.
So, yes, I have had a fine day!

Hi, Rusty!
I have just left the boys tucked up in bed!
I think they should sleep well tonight after all their hectic activities!
No, I didn't try kicking the football with my "gouty" toe!
Although it is now very much improved.........I erred on the side of caution!
I played with the racquet though!
That is good news about your Bowel Screening results.
Good to have that behind you for another period of time.
What make/ model of car are you going to look at tomorrow?
Is this one that your "sourcer" (or is it "sourcerer"?) has found for you?

Hello, Elle!
Yes, you best leave the football to the young ones!
Yes, good news about the screening.
My sourcerer (that's a great word!) has a Honda Jazz that he says is ideal for me.
He "knows" the car.
Hondas have a good reputation for reliability.
That's important to me.
So, I'll see what I think of it tomorrow.
He 'phoned this forenoon about it.
Mind you, it was mostly about his family holiday at Boat of Garten he was telling me about!
Made me envious!

Hi, Rusty!
Oh, that is good that you have a potential car to view tomorrow!
I don't know much about Honda........
Is it a Japanese company?
You did say that you fancied having a Japanese car?
Personal recommendation should ensure a safe buy.
But you will see for yourself shortly.
I have finished reading "Painter of Silence" - the book Ros suggested I read,
I enjoyed it....unusual ...but I am unsure of the ending.
Strangely, that is two books read one after the other (the first was "War Horse") with dubious endings!

Hello, Elle!
Honda is a Japanese company.
They have factories all over the world, including one in Swindon.
They make lots of different things, from hedge trimmers to aeroplanes.
Their motor bikes are popular.
Yes, I have had Japanese cars before and they were very good indeed.
I am a fan of Japanese cars!
Private Peaceful had an odd ending, too.
Have you plans for tomorrow?

Hi, Rusty!
Our daughter had a Mazda for a short time ...that's a Japanese car, too, isn't it?
Tomorrow?
Yes, I have plans.....a friend is coming to visit and the two of us will take the boys out for lunch at the Toby Carvery.
They love going there!
It is some time since she saw the children...she will be very surprised by how much my elder (9 year old) grandson has grown.
He is quite a bit taller than she is, and nearly as tall as I am!
What time tomorrow are you going to look at/possibly test drive the Honda Jazz?

Good Morning Rusty
Just wanted to say that the Honda Jazz is a brilliant car. I bought mine brand new in 2007 and love it. I had never driven an automatic model before, but when I took the test drive, I was amazed at how easy it was. My car has been totally reliable, (just a new battery last year) Two members of my family also have the same model (one cousin in Swindon and the other in Australia !)

On Monday I took delivery of a Nissan Leaf fully electric car. I'm very pleased with it. The range on one charge (about 130 miles) might be a drawback for some, but I rarely drive more than 50 miles in a day, and we can use my wife's petrol car for long trips.
