Hello, Elle!
It is one of the chicks. I do not know which.
Yes, midges are in clouds.
I have never met a mosquito.
Maybe too cold here for them.
You should open a window and let them out rather than killing them.
They are God's creatures, too, you know.
That is an excellent site Roy Dennis has.
I shall have a look tomorrow before Le Tour.

Hi, Rusty!
I may be sharing my home with a determined little mouse........ but definitely not with any insects!
Whether they crawl or fly, they are not welcome!
And I shall certainly kill them should they dare to cross my path!
The problem is that all the windows are permanently open in this weather.... so it's a free -for-all!
Maybe I should sleep under a mosquito net ....?
At present, I am re- reading "Strong Medicine" by Arthur Hailey.
It is many moons ago since I first read it.
I need to consult Amazon about buying some more books.......
What are you reading?

Hello, Elle!
Well don't expect a seat in Heaven if you are laying waste to God's creatures!
I think it is very warm this evening.
I have just been checking windows are fairly closed.
A starling came in one time!
I have just finished "The Death of Innocents" by Sister Helen Prejean.
It was good.
I have started browsing in Chambers, too.
There are countless words I have never came across.
Did you know a "zoozoo" was a wood pigeon?
Anne Bradford does!

Good morning, Rusty!
It is a fine morning....but, my, what a night we have had!
We had the most horrendous thunderstorm....... loud thunder, lightning and torrential rain!
The dog was terrified!
She wouldn't even venture into the garden first thing this morning without my going with her.......
The garden is looking the better for the rain, though!
Did you get the storm up your way?

Good morning, Elle!
No, no storm here, though it was fairly windy last night.
The sky is cloudy but I have not looked at forecast.
I was about early.
At ASDA, Screwfix, and B&Q.
How are you and God's little creatures getting on today?

Hi, Rusty!
Goodness, yes, you were out and about early!
I like the early mornings......I think my morning walk is my favourite part of the day.
What have you been buying from Screwfix and B & Q this time?
( God's little creatures and I will get along fine, providing nary a one has the temerity to bite/sting me!)
I am meeting my daughter and YB for shopping first, then lunch.
The family is off on holiday on Friday evening, so she has some last minute things to get.
I am the cavalry!
I am away now to change out of dog walking gear.......
And will be back home about tea-time!

Good afternoon, Rusty!
I am home again after a lovely day spent shopping - and lunching - with my daughter and YB!
We shall miss them all whilst they are on holiday.
It seems incredibly quiet on the Forum today?
Hardly any activity whilst I have been out?
What have you been up to?
More DIY as a result of your visits to Screwfix and B & Q?
This is the trouble........ a bit like an avalanche effect.......start on thing........and it snowballs and triggers another.......
Or have you been watching Le Tour?

Hello, Elle!
You have had a good day, well done!
I just got one or two bits at B&Q.
Then my son turned up and fixed a window for me.
So, all good.
Yes, I watched Le Tour.
A good stage today. Top class racing.
The two surviving daughters of the couple who were found in the glacier are planning a funeral, I've been reading.
And Ana(stasia) O'Brien does not need surgery after her fall at the Killarney races yesterday.
She has fractures in her neck, back, and cheek bones.
Could have been a lot worse!
Yes, the forum goes very quiet at times.
Maybe they are on AnswerBank?

Hi, Rusty!
I have been playing catch up and watching "Eggheads" which I recorded earlier.
I miss the tennis...but it is nice to have the old favourite programmes back, now that Wimbledon is over.
I enjoy trying to answer the quiz questions!
How much longer does Le Tour go on for?
Will it be finished by the time the World Championship Athletics start?
I have realised that my future planning is bit awry........
I have organised for two grandsons to come to stay during the second week of the Athletics........ oops!
I wonder can I interest them in watching........?
But probably not!
I can see my doing a lot of recording... and a lot of staying up late at night, catching up!
Never mind.... priorities!
It will be great to see the boys!
It is a while since we have done so, as they have been caught up in school activities!

Hello, Elle!
Le Tour finishes on Sunday when it reaches Paris.
Marcel Kittel abandoned today after a crash.
He held the Green Jersey, too.
I do not know when the athletics start, but young Miss Muir flew out of Edinburgh this evening heading for Monaco, for the Diamond League on Friday, then to a training camp at Font-Romeu in the French Pyrenees, (I may send her a Tweet to beware bears!) then London.
She looked very happy!
