Hi, Rusty!
Well, of course, I do not know enough to judge , so I will stand by what you tell me.
But head - butting?
And throwing a bottle in some one's face?
Good grief!
This isn't "sport"!
I will agree though that by comparison Peter Sagan's elbowing action appears but a "little misdemeanour"!
And maybe - comparatively - he should not have been judged so harshly.
But this type of thing is loutish and barbaric!
Jostling? Yes, I can understand that, as you say the cycling scene gets crowded, but deliberate attack and vicious actions.....?
Why ever is it "accepted" behaviour in a supposed "sport"?

I was very impressed by Cav's response to the whole thing.
He answered the questions in a very measured sensible way.
I would doubt that he wanted Sagan out of the race.
He just wanted to ask Sagan what the elbow thing was about.
Elle, the bottle throwing and head-butting are rare.
Though I remember Laurent Fignon throwing a bottle at a motor-bike cop that came a bit too close to him, but that was many years ago, and he was in yellow, and a Frenchman, so they would not dare throw him out.
In the rough and tumble of the bunch sprints there has to be give and take, but not deliberate actions to harm someone.
Elbows are often flying, but unfortunately today, Cav and Degenkolb came down.
I think the decision to throw Peter Sagan out of the Tour was a bit harsh, that's all.

Pigale, tomorrow the Tour finishes at a ski station, La Planche des Belles Filles.
How does that translate into English, please?

Hi, Rusty!
Yes, I agree with you when you say that, in the rough and tumble of the cycling sport, there has to be give and take , but not deliberate actions to harm anyone!
That makes good sense.
I shall say no more!
But I shall stick to tennis!
It is very hot and humid here.......I think we are in for an uncomfortably sticky night.......
Seemingly, the temperature throughout the night will remain at 19C......
And will reach a high of 28C tomorrow!
Not my cup of tea!

Hello, Elle!
There will be nice scenery to look at on the Tour tomorrow.
It goes into the Vosges Mountains.
You would like it!
The bad news is, Mark Cavendish is out of the Tour.
His shoulder is broken.
A great pity as he was just coming back after a bad spell with glandular fever.
Hopefully, there will be no more "incidents", but, things can and do happen on the roads of the Tour de France!
And we are a long way yet from Paris!
Wonder if Jo Konta is playing tomorrow?

Good morning, Rusty!
A lovely day here - bright blue sky and sunshine and very warm already,
The dog is out with my friend.
What a pity about Mark Cavendish being out of the race.....presumably as a direct result of the "elbowing".......?
I hope today goes more peacefully!
You asked about Jo......
Yes, she is first on Centre Court today at 1 pm, playing Donna Vekic.
Followed next by Andy Murray v Dustin Brown - that match has good potential.
Then after that, Rafa playing Donald Young.
Heather Watson takes on the 18th seed ( I forget her name?) on Court No 2 at 11.30.
A good day's viewing!
(There are obvious advantages to having a painful big toe!)
What do you have outlined for your day?

Good morning, Elle!
I will dip in and out of tennis.
Tour has priority though.
Dustin Brown's name is familiar.
Bora are appealing for Sagan's reinstatement.
Anyway first I have the Supreme Court's "hand-down" to watch at 9.45.
Hope I can understand it!
My weather is dry but cloudy!
