Elle, it is strange how I got a message and you didn't?
I shall theorise shortly, but first.
I said the update had made no difference, but for some time I have had two apps on Hudl which had become a bit of a pest to get going properly.
These were BT and Paddy Power.
Just tried them there and they are working perfectly.
Could it be that Hudl could detect that they were not right? And send me an update.
While yours needed less urgent attention, and it just went to settings without alerting you?
I know little about technology but after discovering the Cloud etc I would not be surprised at what these gadgets get up to!

Elle, that is midnight and that leap second past, and I have had a look out the window and the world is still there! These experts must think the rest of us are mad!
Yes, I remember about Debrett's.
Is that still published?
I would be with the ordinary oiks who were discounted!
Well, now that the world is still whirling around, I think I will celebrate our Great Escape by having a boiled egg then off to bed, before the experts get any more fascinating notions!

Hello, Doglet!
Thank you for info about Debrett's!
It will be very expensive?
Been a warm night here, too.
Thank goodness I am not in the Wimbledon singles this year!

Morning Rusty !
How are you today?

Hope your morning is somewhat cooler than here - nearly 30C and supposed to reach 40C minimum ! So I live in the dark, everything closed !

I have just only seen your post and I think the mag I bought must have been printed too much in advance because apart from Van Garderen , they don,t give the names you mentioned - I'll have to google to have up to date info.

Anyway, I have a poster-size map of the route with day and stage stops, mountains classification etc so that bit is intereting.

I think they are going to be very very hot for the cobbles ! ~Enough to tire them out from the begining !

Morning, Rusty!
Goodness, it is HOT! Already 28C when I went out at 7.30am! Not pleasant this morning, I was glad to get home and seek the sanctuary of the fan! (rescued from the loft before bed!!)
Is it this hot in Dundee?
Did you actually SEE the digital recording of the " 'leap' second"? Apparently, the clocks were supposed to register 11:59:60?
I meant to look as midnight approached , but I wandered off to have a bath and forgot!
Is Miss L-plate home now - can't remember when she was coming back?
Just going to look up today's Wimbledon schedule........

Doglet, I now see that we are meant to hit a high of 33C today..... sunshine all day!
No mention so far of thunder until tomorrow when the temp will also drop to 23C apparently - we'll freeze in comparison!

Morning Elle,

Do you think you and I should go and visit Rusty to enjoy some cooler temperatures ? (apart from his company of course!)

Hello, Pigale!
The local forecast is for a maximum of 23°C today.
It is a fine morning just now.
The cycling mags are published before the teams are finalised, so often there are errors.
With BMC it would be easy to say their top men,
van Garderen, van Avermaet, and Sanchez, would ride, but the rest...?
That has given me an idea. I shall see if there is a Tour mag in the shop today. I have not bought a cycling mag for ages!
The cobbles! I am looking forward to see how the little climbers like Quintana enjoy bouncing over the cobbles.
I hope it includes the Forest of Arenberg section!
