Hi,Rrusty!
I double checked EuroSport Player but could not find a vestige of any Athletics this afternoon?
Only Highlights later this evening!
But no matter........ I have been fully occupied!
First with a quick walk with the dog...then back for 2 o'clock for the tennis Championship!
Wow! What an exciting Final!
Brilliant tennis! It was neck and neck , so to speak, ending in a long tie-break!
But Feliciano Lopez eventually won!
I am very pleased for him!
(His parents had flown over especially to see him play)
Gone rather warm here... a bit of humidity building up again...warmer outside than indoors!

Hello, Elle!
Live athletics was listed on EuroSport this afternoon.
I did not see it.
I was hunting for cycling from the Isle of Man.
Could not find it!
I know Lizzie A won the women's race, though.
Still very nice here, and breezy!

Hi, Rusty!
Uhm.......something odd going on...?
Right now, I am watching EuroSport Player on One - and it is Jamie Murray and his partner playing the Men's Doubles Championship Final at Queens (in London)
Yet the programme tells me that this is the "Highlights of the Aegon Classic from Birmingham"!
So something is definitely amiss somewhere!

Hello, Elle!
It is fairly normal for sporting events on EuroSport to overrun etc.
How long will a tennis match take?
We do not know.
A match could be rained off, even, and they have to fill the slot with something else.
That is the problem with live events and Eurosport has to find a way round it.
I think they do it fairly well.
Jonathan Edwards is back doing the Tour de France next week.

Hi, Rusty!
That all sounds very logical... ..and neatly explained ......and maybe it works for the television programmes?
But I am not finding it very satisfying on my computer.
The Athletics wasn't shown as being scheduled either before or after the event.
And a different tennis tournament was shown from that programmed.
Unless I have all the day to sit in front of my computer screen "in expectation", how do I know what to watch, and when and where?
This is perhaps tolerable while I am only paying £19- 99 or whatever for the service .........but do I want to pay nearly £60 at the end of this trial period?
( I suppose you think I'm being unreasonable?)
I like Jonathan!

Hello, Elle!
No, I do not think you are an unreasonable person.
Certain programmes are made to fit neatly into slots.
Like EastEnders, say, or Eggheads, but sport is different.
Tennis matches could be 3,4, or 5 sets.
A stage in the Tour de France could overrun because of headwinds.
Bad weather could temporarily postpone the downhill skiing.
So, the powers that be at EuroSport have to juggle their schedules at times.
I think you can find the EuroSport daily schedules quite easily online or in a newspaper.
Yes, Jonathan has adapted very well to cycling, (and skiing).
So too, has Juan Antonio Flecha (he rode for Team Sky).
An excellent presenter now.

Hi, Rusty!
I have just been talking to my cousin!
They, like us, are having slighter fresher and cooler weather now, although their temperatures never reached the highs that they did down here.
It is a lovely evening here - still warmish, but the sun is fading now.
I shall be beset with tennis now for the next few weeks!
Eastbourne next week...then, after that, Wimbledon!
And I have the Red Button at the ready for the Wimbledon Qualifying matches tomorrow morning!
I must mark on my calendar the dates of the Wimbledon Finals - I stay at home on those two days, with no visitors allowed unless they are keen tennis fans!
"Rules" are rules!

Hello, Elle!
Yes, tennis games aplenty.
The women's final is on 15th July.
Men's final is on 16th July.
Christmas is on 25th December.
Mark your calendar!
Now this may be a daft question, but does the Wimbledon Qualifying take place at Wimbledon, or elsewhere?
Yes, the Red Button will be very handy for you.
Maybe you should try it out beforehand?
It is coolish here, but have I mentioned it is quite breezy?
