Good afternoon, Rusty!
A great day here, too, for the Crystal Palace park event that is taking place today.
I haven 't been to any of the weekly activities, but is seems a really grand occasion!
It runs from June 12th to 18th.
There is a massive park event today....... with exhibitions , shows, stalls etc.........
We were up at the park early this morning, although we gave the preparation areas a wide berth......too much vehicular activity in the upper regions of the park for dog safety.
Google "Crystal Palace Overground Festival" and you shall see for yourself what is / has been on offer.
My goodness, is it hot !
We have a reasonable amount of shade in the garden from the trees...but even so, the heat is too much for me1
I am firmly ensconced indoors for now........ with a fan on!
What time does the golf start?

Hello, Elle!
There seems to be something for everyone at your festival.
Are you going to attend?
Our agricultural show is mainly livestock.
Enormous beasts being judged!
I like the show but I am not attending this year.
I am not sure when the golf starts but the leaders do not go out until after 9.00 p.m in our time.
There is a six hour time difference between Wisconsin and UK.

Hello, Elle,
Finally got my last parse!
I was on the wrong track altogether.
But the parse came out of the blue!
I am not happy until it all makes sense!

Hi, Rusty!
Yes, there is certainly an interesting and varied programme offered at the festival.
But today is the penultimate day!
Unfortunately, there has been little general publicity about the events..... and I didn't even learn about it all until yesterday, when a friend told me.
He was warning me that there would be cars / vans allowed in certain areas of the park this morning to allow stallholders easy access with their "goods".
Normally the entire park (huge) is a traffic free zone.
Had the weather been less hot...then yes, we might have taken a look this afternoon.... but I cannot "do " heat (as my elder daughter would put it) and I am staying indoors , in front of the fan, where it is pleasantly cool!
We shall be out all day tomorrow for Fathers' Day , regardless!
I am glad you have sorted your puzzle!
I agree with you - a crossword cannot be considered "finished" until every parse is thoroughly explained!

Hello, Elle!
The chicks are huge now.
The rangers have "ringed" them.
Looks to be a nice breeze over the loch, too.
I am not fond of heat either.
I did not know tomorrow was Father's Day.
The parse came out of the blue.
I had been worrying away at it but was up the wrong road entirely!
Hope there is no more calamities at the golf today.
The blimp pilot is recovering in hospital but is quite badly burned.

Hi, Rusty!
Yes, I looked in on the chicks earlier.
Do we know their gender yet?
( I might ask them to "move over"......it looks nice and breezy up there in their nest!)
Yes, Fathers' Day tomorrow!
Perhaps I shouldn't have told you....your sons might be planning to surprise you!
Younger daughter and I, and BB and YB, of course, are taking out the "dads" for lunch!
I didn't realise until your mention of it last night that a "blimp" could be piloted?
I see now that the definition also gives a small airship
I had only heard of a bumptious person eg Colonel Blimp!
Or a barrage balloon!

Hello, Elle,
They "think" the older chick is female and the young one is male.
No surprise for me tomorrow.
We do not bother much with these type of days.
Some blimps are "moored" in the sky, others can be piloted.
The Wisconsin blimp was being piloted when it caught fire.
The pilot was rescued after it crashed, just before the fuel tanks exploded.
He is a lucky man.
This is his third blimp "emergency".
The original name was B-limp to distinguish it from a similar craft known as A-rigid.
Excuse me for being boring!

Hi, Rusty!
I did not know about the B-limp and A-rigid airships.
That is very interesting!
A Zeppelin would be the "rigid" type, then ?
As used in the First World War?
I am watching "The Voice Kids"....there is such a lot of talent.
Really quite amazing!
We haven't even had dinner yet.......

Hello, Elle!
Yes, the Zeppelins were rigid air ships, as was the Hindenburg which caught fire and crashed in New Jersey, with a lot of lives lost.
I have heard "The Voice Kids" is quite good.
Great weather here and in Wisconsin!
Maybe it is too warm for you to eat.
I just had Weetabix.
Not a day for cooking, for me, anyway!

Hi, Rusty!
The Voice Kids was great - even better than last week!
And the judges seem very nice.
I've always liked Will.i.am, but had never come across the other two judges before.
Pixie Lott is lovely - great with the children, as is the other judge Danny Jones from McFly.
The show has "good" vibes!
Yes, you are right - it is far too hot to be cooking, so - as neither of us had eaten since breakfast, apart from fruit - my husband popped down to the chip shop!
I enjoyed it!
I was hungrier than I had thought!
I am recording "Casualty" - I cannot watch more TV tonight.
The only time when I do "overload" on the television is during the second week of Wimbledon!
