Hello, Elle!
Tokio was a worthy winner!
A very talented young man with a natural humility about him.
But wee Issy stole my heart!
She was great, and she almost won!
Loved seeing Diversity again and it is great seeing all the young ones in the crew now.
Ashley Banjo should be very proud of what he and Diversity have achieved over the years!
What did you think?

Hi, Rusty!
Yes, I was very impressed by "Diversity".
I did watch them on YouTube this morning, as you suggested, but it was good to see them again on stage tonight.
An incredible act.
In the end, I voted for Tokio and Issy.
I was really torn between the two, which is why I voted twice!
(I hadn't realised that one could do that)
I thought Tokio brilliant - I shall even watch the Royal Variety Performance in order to see him again!
The show ended on a really high note!
I think there really was some terrific talent this year?

Hello, Elle!
Tokio was super and I hope he goes far!
For a little girl Issy was astonishingly good.
She has the lot!
And it is great to see Diversity evolving.
They are the best ever dance group on the show in my opinion.
It was a great series.
Some great acts.
All we were missing was a chicken playing "America the Beautiful" on keyboards!

Hi, Rusty!
Yes, Issy has a pleasing personality and performed her act with charm and grace.
I think on the whole the voting rankings were applicable to the performances?
I was surprised that Mersey Girls were not higher up the gradings.......but I didn't think their performance tonight was as good as before...so perhaps the judging was fair?
And DNA did not shine tonight.......apart from the "mistake", like Simon, I found their act hard to follow?
No punch line, tonight!
I am about three-quarters way though Mac's autobiography.
I am enjoying it...although I never knew that life as a tennis player could be so rough......

Hello, Elle!
It is not unusual for an act to fail to reach previous heights.
No, DNA were hard to follow, and that number they produced on their calculator was suspicious.
How do we know the calculation was correct? We don't!
It was a good series though.
I have been exploring on YouTube.
Give yourself a treat, Elle?
Go to YouTube and type "Amira Willighagen" in the search box.
The top one is Amira's first ever appearance on Holland's Got Talent.
It has had 29 million hits.
It is incredible for the expressions on the judges faces alone!
Amira was 9 years old and was astonishingly good!
Have a look?

Good morning, Rusty!
How are you today?
What a dreadful business about the latest terror attacks in London.
I have only just seen the News.
Fortunately our son just saw it too, and texted me immediately.
I was just beginning to get anxious as he works very near London Bridge as a Night Manager at a hotel there.
Luckily for him, he was off duty this weekend, and well away from the district.
Not so fortunate for so many other poor people, though.
I had already seen Amira singing, as you had mentioned her earlier!
Yes, she is excellent!
Amira and Tokio (and piano playing hens) are what BGT is all about!
Sunny here and much cooler!

Good morning, Elle!
These attacks are dreadful.
And, yes, for those with a loved one anywhere near, must be very worrying.
It is a fine morning here and the chicks are growing.
Amira is just super!
And when she was asked what she would do when older, she said she wanted to sing, and run at the Olympic Games.
I agree about BGT.
You have no idea what will walk on stage.
Could be Mr Hula Hoop, or a gifted act like Tokio, or Amira.
I find it hard to believe it is 8 years since Diversity won.
Time flies!

But for Heaven's sake, what is going on?!!!
Two attacks within a week or so of each other - how awful!

My deepest sympathy to the victims and to the British people
generally.

Elle, What is 'Borough Market' ? I have never heard of it.

On a lighter note, glad you both like Amira - I have been
a fan of hers ever since 2013 when she first appeared. I
what I particularly on that first appearance was her very
natural behaviour, remaining at heart a 9-year old.

Hello, Pigale!
Glad you are an Amira fan!
She is super and a lovely natured young lady, too.
She has appeared with Andre Rieu, taking the Carmen Monarcha part and was superb!
I like Carmen Monarcha, too!
Hope all is well with you.
I am looking forward to the Criterium du Dauphine which starts today!

Hello Rusty,

I hadn't realized that the Criterium started today - quite an important
event not that long before The Tour.

Have you watched Amira singing Nessum Dorma in the final
in Holland?
She sang with several other artists too; and has also funded
the creation of several playgrounds for children in South
Africa where she went to sing on a few occasions. She is now
turning into a nice teenager, still unpretencious.
