Good morning, Rusty!
We have a bright sunny day...and fortunately lower temperatures (the maximum will only be 20C) and a much fresher atmosphere this morning!
A good day for a walk!
I have just had look at "Diversity" - unusual and entertaining...I shall look forward to seeing the group perform this evening.
I have some chores to do this morning!
Washing to hang on the Hill's Hoist!
How about you?
Any plans for the day?

Good morning, Elle!
Great day here!
I am looking forward to seeing Diversity again, too!
Not heard who the wild card is yet.
I have had a bit of a trek earlier and am home for the day now.
Just looking forward to the Derby.
Think I will desert Ana O'Brien and do her brother's horse, Venice Beach.
Just a small wager, though, the race looks wide open!

Hi, Rusty!
Update!
Did you see/ hear that Simon is to pay for Julia's spinal operation out of his own pocket?
Regardless whether or not the Mersey girls win or lose tonight?
I think that is very big- hearted of him.
My opinion of him has soared recently.
I think it must be the softening effect of his young son!
Right....all chores finished....I shall take a look at the 15 x15!
Have you done your puzzle?

Hello, Elle!
Yes, I read that about Simon Cowell.
I like him but a shave would improve him greatly, in my opinion.
I am nearing the end of my puzzle.
Going to eat my dinner now and come back to it later.

Hello, Elle!
Finished my puzzle!
It was a good one but I struggled with the last half dozen!
All done now, though, complete with parsing.
Great day here!

Hi, Rusty!
I think Simon's unshavennness is referred to as "designer stubble"!
He most probably considers it attractive!
His pleasant expression these days greatly improves him!
I have finished the Times 15 x15 in that all the answers are filled in...but I have six clues yet to parse....I shall struggle on for a while though before seeking help......
I especially liked 9a!
I think some fruit and another coffee might be of some assistance to me........

Hello, Elle!
I would call Simon "scruffy" or looking like a "toerag"!
Well done on finishing the puzzle.
I was ages getting 24a !
Had to check Chambers to make sure it was a proper word!

Elle,
But the "toerag" is paying for Julia's operation, so fairplay to him.
A gent!

Hi, Rusty!
Funny , isn't it? I did 24 across straight off!
Still having trouble with parsings........
I have "Heartbreak House" for 7d.
This is a play by George Bernard Shaw, and I know it is the correct answer...and the definition .....but why, please?
And 23 a: "One's true colours" = " a person's proper allegiance" (def)
I'm thinking "true - genuine" or then maybe its "rue" for "regret"...?
I give up! I need help!
