I am going across in the better weather, on the boat.

And somebody will pick me up at Belfast when the boat lands.
It will be all organised!
At the concert "My Heart Will Go On" was played and it was very familiar.
I have a suspicion it was played in the film "Titanic"?

Very sad for the poor innocents and dreadful foro for their relatives - and from what I read, some of the injured are in critical state....

Yes, "My heart Will Go On" is the main theme song from the film "Titanic."
And yes, we did go to see it....... my husband doesn't like going to the cinema, and I had persuaded him to go, as I had high expectations (completely unrealised) of the film.
Many years ago, I had previously seen " A Night to Remember " - with Kenneth More - and had liked that.
It was certainly a much more realistic portrayal of the disaster!
I was totally disillusioned with the film "Titanic"!
Some people around us were crying......
But if anything, I found it rather amusing in parts ...there were even one or two places where I actually laughed!
I'll admit though that the photography was good...but that is the best I can say about it!
Did you see it?

It seems to be being treated as a terrorist act.
The latest BBC email newsflash that I have received at 22.43 says 5 dead, 40 injured - and the terrorist is thought to be known to the police?
The casualty count is increasing.... a very sad time for very many people.

But the terrorist died on his hospital, didn't he?

Unfortunately it brings back bad memories;

Thank you for your thoughts on my pal's Mother in hospital.
Now, the Titanic.
I saw both pictures and thought A Night to Remember was much better.
The story line in Titanic was not realistic.
I always liked Kenneth More in films, too.
The theme music in Titanic is good, though.
It is a fine morning here.
It is still a bit frosty outside.

All that hype beforehand....I was expecting to see a good film......
Instead, I think it ranks as possibly the worst film I have ever watched!

Yes, Kenneth More has some good films to his name...
"Reach for the Sky" - where he played Douglas Bader - was brilliant.
And I liked "The Admirable Crichton" - did you see that ?
The film was based on J.M. Barrie's play.
I am waiting to hear from my friend to see what she wants to do about tomorrow........
We had planned to go up to London......I am not sure whether that arrangement will still stand?

I have seen many films worse than Titanic.
In Braveheart there was a white van in the background in one scene.
I do not know Admirable Crichton.
Probably travelling in London may take a little longer after yesterdays events, but go ahead.
Anyway, it is a fine day here and I am off to wash my car.
