Personally, , I feel this site could do with a revamp . It needs something to liven it up

I hope you are enjoying Three men, rusty . I was taken a little aback in chapter 7 with a certain word being uttered by Harris as a comment on George's loud blazer. But, considering when the book was written, it was commonly used and not in a racial way. Have a good evening.

I had not reached Chapter 7, but had a look just now.
Yes, I see the word.
Different times, different mores.
I read a book recently about a young lady who went to teach in wild Alaska in the twenties, and the racism about the Native Americans was dreadful.
It spoiled the book for me.
3 Men is a good tale!

Yes, rusty. As well as the antics, the humour, the digressions, and anecdotes, there are some beautiful passages which are quite serious and bring a tear to the eye. Goodnight. Zzzz
