Hi, Rusty!
Ok, we shall see tomorrow!
But if not an "official" record, Laura has at least shown that she is capable of breaking the record.
I don't have my next week's TV guide yet.
But it is good to hear that the Edinburgh Cross Country will be showing on BBC1.
All too often, I miss these events as they are only on Sky or Euro Sport.
Tomorrow I am lunching out (again!)
It is "Ladies Who Lunch" day!
Then later in the afternoon our son and granddaughter are coming to visit, after she finishes school.
A busy day!

Hello, Pigale,
I have just watched Robert Marchand, the 105 year old Frenchman, set a new record on his bike!
He is great! Likes wine and women, too!

P.S. Rusty,
I have just been reading up about Saturdays' Edinburgh Cross Country race.....
It starts at 10 am through till 3.30 pm
Did you know that the relay race is mixed?
Two men and two women in a 4 x 1k race. - at 1. 29pm
Isn't this unusual?

Hello, Elle,
There are several events at Edinburgh.
Laura is in GB and NI relay team, with James Bowness, Charlene Thomas, and james West.
Her team mates are new to me.
They compete against teams from Scotland, England, Wales, Norn Iron, Europe, and USA.
So it should be good!

Hello Rusty,

I had not realised he was still cycling, neither did I know his exact age nowadays. I have just had a look on google and he does look great, but such a 'wee' man! Good for him - I'd like to be as fit as he is !

wine and women must have kept him fit!

Hello, Pigale!
The wine and women certainly kept him happy!
He has a great sense of humour.
A very cheery 105 year old!

Hello, Elle!
Yes, an unusual event.
Be good to see though.
I am looking forward to seeing the relay, and whatever Sir Mo is running in.
Senior men's probably.

Hi, Rusty!
Callum Hawkins and Andy Vernon are also running alongside Mo.
Mo came second last year, didn't he?
But won the year before?

Good morning, Elle.
I think you are right about Sir Mo being second.
Should be good racing at Edinburgh.
Liz McColgan has tweeted congrats to Laura Muir.
Liz is unsure if the record will be ratified.
It was a "mixed 3-5 km race", says she, whatever that is?
And she is unsure if there was doping control after the race.
So...we shall have to wait and see.
Fine cold day here.
No visiting for me today.
Think I have picked up a bug and do not want to pass it on!

Good morning, Rusty!
A glorious morning here - blue sky, bright sunshine and all is white with frost!
Very picturesque , although extremely cold at -2C.
But on the plus side......frozen ground = clean dog!
An enjoyable walk.
I am very sorry to hear that you are feeling rough.
What type of bug? Do you have a cold? Are you feeling sick?
Yes, wise to stay in.
I hope you are better soon!
I am going out later this morning....... "Ladies who Lunch" day.
Then back for 3.30 when our son and granddaughter will arrive after school.
It will be good to have them here together...not something that often happens.
Usually we see her with her mum.
Keep warm! (Be sensible!)
